Excellent location, comfortable bed and nice atmosphere. Linens were clean as was the apartment. Check-in/Check out was smooth, and free parking was an added bonus. There isn't A/C, so it was pretty warm, but Shelly provided a fan which helped with the heat. Huge patio, and it would be a nice addition if there was a table/chair set out there!!

Highly recommended. Apartment is new and very luxurious for a couple. Excellent location right in the heart of Chinatown, cafes and restaurants literally on your doorstep and easy 10 minute walk to the central sites and harbour. We didn't actually meet Shelly but her communication was clear and she kindly arranged for her friend to help us with early check in. Thanks!

The home is exactly as pictured. It is almost new and was very clean when we got there. The balcony is very large. The central location in Victoria's Chinatown made it easy to walk to a lot of great attractions and restaurants. It is a short walk across the Johnson bridge to the Songhees walkway. We had a car and the underground parking spot was easy to use. There were other Airbnb suites in the building and people were very friendly and helpful.

Very good location right in the heart of Chinatown, a couple of blocks from my favourite dinner restaurant (Il Terrazzo), favourite breakfast eatery (the Rebar), and my favourite walk on the seawall. The apartment was as expected - small but covered the bases. Our host was very helpful in accommodating an early check-in request - very important to us, in order to shower and change after a week of camping, and before heading out to an afternoon wedding! Victoria itself was fantastic, as always.

Had a hard time reaching a host when checking in. Stood at the door, calling a phone number. Only after I texted her, she called back. Very clean place, amazing location! We were cooking a dinner and didn't have enough plates and pans. I am hoping host will add a few plates and add a few new towels. Do stay here if you want to walk around downtown!

Response from Shelly:
Thank you. We do have plates and all the cook wares you need to cook, they are in the dishwasher.

Our group had a great stay at Shelly's place. Very centrally located in Chinatown, and close to many restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping. The free onsite parking was a great bonus. Be mindful when coming in from the parking garage that there are two buildings and make sure you are in the correct one. Our only complaint was that the apartment got quite stuffy because there is no air conditioning. There is a fan in the living room to help circulate air, but we still found it quite hot sleeping in the bedroom even with the fan on and back door cracked open. Overall we had a great experience though, and Shelly was a lovely host. Thanks again!

Hi! I'm Shelly, a fourth year Creative Writing student in University of Victoria. I like reading (Murakami, DFW, Zadie Smith, Jonathan Franzen), film (Sofia Coppola, Richard Linklater, Michel Gondry), and my two cats. I also like fake flowers, online shopping, mimosas, and ordering takeout. A lot. I'm mostly fuelled by consumer-related adrenaline and caffeine.

I love to travel, and have been all over North America, Asia, and Europe. Airbnb has been an incredible resource for me, and not only do I think it's great being connected to people all over the world, but like, having an apartment while travelling is an absolute luxury, and now you can get it for cheaper than a hotel room!!!

As a host, I live in the same building, and you can reach me at any time! I'm happy to recommend local restaurants or places you should sightsee. I've lived in Victoria for fifteen years, and I'd like to think I know the city pretty well.

If you decide to go with me as your host, I'm sure I can make your visit to Victoria lil bit nicer. Thanks for stopping by!
