The Space

**** Please note: Prices have been reduced 20% as there will be construction going on Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm on the exterior of the building until about June 2014. Painting, spall repair, etc. Until further notice, the pool is closed during the renovation period (beach is a 1/2 block away so no worries there!)

The windows in my unit have already been replaced, with lovely soundproof windows.****

Gorgeous granite countertops, brand new stainless steel appliances, and a full size refrigerator give you plenty of space to test your culinary skills.

The cozy and comfortable living area allows you to relax and entertain, whether you are pouring a bottle of wine or watching a film on the 32inch television with DVD player.

When slumber beckons, the incredibly luxurious pillowtop mattress welcomes you with open arms.

Interaction with Guests

As much or as little as you like! Some guests I meet up with for a meal or drink, some I never get to meet in person as they prefer a more private trip or already have a packed itinerary. It's entirely up to you, so please do reach out if you would like to meet up!

Getting around

There are multiple bus stops just minutes from my apt, so you don't have to worry about renting a car if you don't want to. If you do choose to rent a car (which I definitely recommend at least a day or two for trips to Kailua and North Shore!) you can find free street parking along Monsarrat Ave, and in the parking lot on the right of that road. Or, I can reserve parking in the building for you at $15/day.

  • Frances' beachside studio is just perfect. It's at the chill end of Waikiki beach, directly across the street from the zoo where diamond head shines with all of its glory. It's well appointed with everything you need for an epic day at the beach and a gourmet home cooked meal. Frances is really nice and easy to work with. Plus she leaves a six pack of local beer as a refreshing treat to begin your stay. We were lucky that the construction wasn't too noisy and that the pool was magically open. However, you won't need the pool with the pristine white sands and turquoise waters literally half a block away. I highly recommend this adorable little studio.

  • Frances was great in responding to any questions I had. The place is in great condition. The 10th floor roof top has an amazing view. The apartment is just the right size. It is close to all the tourist shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at Frances's apartment. I miss Hawaii already.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Frances' cute and comfortable studio apartment for 4 nights this past week. This was our first time using Airbnb and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Frances helped us set up a parking space for our rental car, surprised us with an awesome 6 pack of Hawaiian beer in the fridge, and also provided some snorkel and beach gear for us to borrow. Waikiki beach was less than a block away! Frances even provided a ton of useful recommendations when we went to visit the North Shore! I highly recommended staying here, Frances was incredibly friendly, helpful, and prompt with answering questions. We wish we could have stayed there longer!

  • I traveled to Hawaii for work with a large group of people. Three days before we left, many people stopped hearing from their future landlords, got emails telling them that the apartment was not available after all, and other horror stories. I got to say, "I am meeting my landlord for mai-tais and she is giving me the keys as soon as I arrive." That's Frances, ready to help you have a good time but very responsible and makes sure everything is just right. Also, front door is coded... you can literally walk out the door in just a swimsuit and walk to the beach without having to carry a thing... very convenient. I will definitely stay again if I am lucky enough to return to Hawaii.

  • Great location right next to the beach. Loved the interior decoration of the studio and the overall cleanliness. Communication from the host was also superb and Frances was great at suggesting how I could enhance my stay on Hawaii. Cold beer waiting in the fridge was just what I needed after long flight! Highly recommended.

  • Frances is a well organised and responsive host. Had a short stop over in Honolulu and appreciated the tasteful space, the welcome beer in the fridge (thank you!) And the super location, went for a scenic run and swim with the ocean on her doorstep. Recommended.

  • It is a really nice appartment with a modern kitchen at an ideal location in Honolulu. For us a comfortable place to relax from the busy city. We very enjoyed to be so close to Waikiki with its wide range of restaurants and bars. Communication with Frances was very easy. She is a great host. The only disadvantage was the streetnoise in the early mornings, which was louder than we expected. After the window renovations, which are currently going on, we would come back any time!
Thank you Frances for this great stay!

  • Frances apartment was really lovely. Very clean and nice furnished. We had a great time. Its location is very central - right at the beginning of Waikiki and next to the zoo. I would definitely come back here.
