Welcome to St Kilda!
Welcome to my house which is a federation home oozing 'old St Kilda' and is in a fantastic location. It's only a 5 minute walk from Acland St and 8 minutes from the beach.
The bedroom is incredibly spacious and has a very comfortable queen size bed. It has a beautiful copper-pressed ceiling and original wood-fire heater.
Two shared bathrooms - great water pressure in the shower and a bathtub to relax in. There's a big lounge room with a piano if you fancy tinkling the ivories plus a guitar to strum as well! We don't have cable TV but you are welcome to watch as much free-to-air in the loungeroom as you want.
There is also a lovely back garden with chairs and a table to relax at a cat and dog to keep you company. Sitting in this garden is so peaceful it's hard to believe you're in the middle of St Kilda!
I don't provide breakfast but you can easily find cafes less than 150 meters away. In fact, there's a fantastic bakery straight across the road with nice coffee and beautiful bread.
Public transport is very close with a bus stop literally outside the front gate (2 doors away) and a shuttle to the airport. A tram stop is only a 3 minute walk. Luna Park, St. Kilda Pier, and The Esplanade Hotel and Fitzroy St are easily within walking distance.
About St Kilda
St Kilda is located right on the the beach about 5kms from Melbourne and has wonderful cake shops, cafes and restaurants. It really is a hub of activity. Every Thursday evening during summer is the St Kilda Night Market in the O'Donnell Gardens right next to Luna Park with great stalls, music and food.
You'll love Melbourne. I hope to hear from you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT ACCEPT BOOKINGS MORE THEN THREE MONTHS IN ADVANCE.
Guests may use the kitchen to cook if the request is made during the booking process. This is so I can coordinate a kitchen schedule if other guests are staying as well. Guests using the kitchen are expected to clean up after themselves, wipe down the stove and also take their rubbish out.
Guests are more than welcome to use the living room, dining room and back garden.
This is my home so I'll be present during the guest's stay. I am here at check in to greet the guests and show them around and then I leave the guests to their own devices. I'm not always around at check out but I leave instructions for what guests need to do.
I love the vibrancy of St Kilda and the fact that everything - cafes, supermarkets, amusement park and beach are just a five minute walk from my house. Guests will love the scenic beach walks and the gorgeous breeze.
The cake shops are Acland St are a sight to behold and just walking around St Kilda is entertaining. I'm happy to recommend the places in St Kilda where the 'locals' eat! For example ...
There's an amazing bakery straight across the road with fantastic sourdough bread and great coffee so a yummy breaky is only 10 metres away!
Tram stops are just a five minute walk and a twenty five minute ride to the city center. There's also a bus stop next door to my house if you need to go north of the city or to a major train station.
There is free parking available outside my house but there are restrictions in the morning until 9am as it's a clearway. I always give guests advice about parking and if the car isn't too big then parking is always available in front of my garage.
Guests can easily get to my place from the airport by getting the Skybus from the airport to Southern Cross station and then the tram to St Kilda. It's a five minute walk from the tram stop to my house. There is more information available once a booking is made.
I have a very friendly Labrador dog named Atticus who likes to welcome guests and expects a pat every now and then! He is very gentle but I wouldn't recommend staying if you don't like dogs.

Teena and dog Atticus both very welcoming, good size room and very comfortable bed, easy walk to St Kilda shops and beach. Some noise from road and nearby Backpacker's noticeable at night but Teena thoughtfully provides ear plugs so our sleep wasn't affected.
We really enjoyed staying at Teena's beautiful home. Teena is a very thoughtful host providing her guests with a super cozy and perfectly equiped room and lots of useful information about Melbourne. She was very welcoming and open to have a long and interesting chat with us and in the same time was respectful regarding the privacy of her guests. Communication between us went really well. Moreover, St. Kildas with it's transport connection is a good point of departure to start discovering Melbourne.
Accueil très chaleureux de Teena
chambres très confortable et maison très agréable et spacieuse
quartier animé et sympathique
facilité de connexion par les transports en commun

Our stay with Teena was perfect, she was really nice and easy going, the house was beautiful and the bed was super (wish we could take that with us). We stayed for 3 days and we definitely want to return for some more! St Kilda is a nice neigborhood, beach, cafes and shops are around the corner and it's a short ride into the city. Highly recommended!!
The house and our bedroom were beautiful with great antique furniture. There is also a outside terrace that can be enjoyed with a beer etc. Its ready close to the beach too. Would recommend. Teena is also a good host. A good stay in st kilda!
Really enjoyed my stay at Teenas. The house had a relaxed feel, my room was lovely and Attica (the dog) was super friendly. Teena was a great host and struck the perfect balance between friendly and respect for privacy.
I would stay again and would have no hesitation in recommending the house for a stay in Melbourne. Thank you Teena.
My stay at Teena's was lovely. Her home is just as described, full of old world charm and character, and my room was very spacious and comfortable. It's just a short walk to shops, restaurants, the tram stop and the beach so the location is very convenient with everything you might need nearby.
And Teena herself was a very welcoming host as well as just an interesting person ready to chat and share her story in addition to her home. I would definitely recommend staying here and would return myself if I'm lucky enough to be visiting Melbourne again!
staying at Teena's place was an amazing experience! She's really kind and friendly and we felt like home! Great communication with her! the house... i love it! It's warm, colourful, creative and tasteful! Fabulous! I love its style! It's located in st. kilda which is very close to cbd (tram stop is in a walking distance and in 15 minutes you can get to the city) and is the perfect place to spend a holiday in Melbourne! I will recommend this accomodation for sure
I was staying 3 nights at Teenas Airbnb Room. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay. Teena was very helpful and openminded for some talks. The nice ancient house is nice decorated and has a nice charisma. I can recommend it!
