Linda was very accommodating in arranging for her housekeeper, Lisa, to be there to open the door for me when I arrived late the first night of my stay. I never met Linda personally although she was in regular contact with me by text and email.
The room itself wasn't spectacular, but the bed was really comfortable. Also, the neighbourhood was very quiet.
I saw only one other person there the two days I stayed, only briefly with just a 'Hi' exchanged. Since it was my first Airbnb experience, I felt that somehow I had missed out on the 'experience'; in other words, I felt totally isolated because I never really 'met' anyone. Since I was in Toronto to be Feature Poet at a long running poetry reading series I didn't pay that much attention to that because the people I met at the event were amazing and more than made up for the 'human' contact!
In general, the house was adequate as far as the physical amenities, but lacking on a real 'personal' touch.
The host is accommodating helpful and discreet. The room is very small, and a bit shabby but clean. Bathroom and kitchen also clean. The name heritage house is a little misleading, aside from one brick wall the house has little character, but for a simple stay it's perfectly suitable. The area of town is a little far from decent cafés / bars etc as these are mainly on the west side, but there is plenty of public transport, even if it is a little pricey. All an all we enjoyed our stay, thanks Linda & Lisa
Very nice and clean guest house in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Great location, close to the city center, and within walking distance to pretty much everywhere. Host was very friendly and organised a way for me to pick up the keys as I arrived in the evening. Instructions on how to get from the airport were clear and really useful.
The room was fairly small but big enough for one person and one suitcase. A couple of stains on the carpet but otherwise a really enjoyable experience overall. Would stay here again.
Pleasantly surprised. Good vibe. Open and airy with lots of character. Some of the room furniture is a bit dated and could do with replacing the carpet which has seen better days, but otherwise clean. Enjoyed the stay and will definitely stay again.
I checked in at 11:00 PM and was welcomed. Didn't have a chance to talk to the host but the place was clean and private. Some random guy knocked on the door at past midnight.. I woke up and got a bit scared. Except that it was a good experience.
Linda is always accomodating, organized and a great communicator. She even helps me with getting around the city.
The room 8 is very small for 2 persons, the price is too expensive for the quality, it was not very clean inside the room and inside the shared bathroom.
The appartment is located near of the downtown, and the bus terminal, it's easy to cook and to diner in the common kitchen and the wifi works fine inside the room.
Linda is flexible with the check-in so it's a good point. We had a good journey (2 nights) on this place.
Staying with Linda was great, close to downtown and local restaurants.
Stayed one night here, can't complain about anything really, it was a pleasant experience. Private balcony was pretty cool!
She waited for me for about 1,5 hours, my transport (Megabus) arrived much later than the supposedly schedule, partially because of the traffic too but anyway that was nice of her !
Clean towels were provided, small TV, bathroom is just beside the room, WIFI worked.
Not far from the city, with my walking pace it was probably less than 10 min to St Lawrence Market
