In the middle of Tulum , not far from the center of town , there`s AEROLITO , a charming hide-out . Tucked into a lush tropical garden there are our individually decorated rooms : Casa del Arbol ( treehouse ), Rincon Precioso ( mayan style stone house ), Casa Alux ( original mayan cabin ).
La CASA DEL ARBOL , a treehouse , is a cute cabin on a second floor , built in between tropical trees . It got its own outdoor bathroom downstairs with a hot and cold water shower and it is equipped with a double bed , mosquito net, fan , sheets and towels . There is a private outdoor kitchen with a fridge , a stove and everyhing you need.
The room is perfect for one or two person or combined with the other rooms for a group or a family.
Mexico is a lifely country , so is Tulum . At AEROLITO you can enjoy an oasis away from the busy and noisy street . But please note that you can hear dogs , cocks , mexicans selling things on the street or people having a party .
Tulum is now a fast growing city , And its getting louder .
The life in Mexico is outdoor , also the fiestas are in open spaces without walls or windows and so its dificult to keep the sounds apart .
Every morning we prepare a delicious breakfast .
Coffe or tea, fresh fruit and juice, natural yogurt and homemade granola ,
Bread and local honey ,
Also eggs and beans and hot sauces , always diferent in flavours and colours .
You can easily reach the closest beach in a 20 minutes bikeride
( In AEROLITO we are renting bicycles to our guests for 50 Pesos per day )
Tulum offers many things to do ,
swimming in a cenote wih cristalclear natural water , visiting an arqueological site , like Tulum , Coba or Muyil .
snorkeling , diving , exploring .
Maybe a daytrip to Yucatan .
AEROLIO will help you with advice and ideas to to the right thing !
AEROLITO is just 4 squares to the mainroad of Tulum , where you can find many restaurants and bars , also the busstation and other public transportation .
Sometimes I stil lcan hear the waves of the ocean in a silent night in the low season . Tulum is a new city and it's growing steadily. More people are coming to this paradise, and so the noise level is growing as well . Mexico (email hidden)ly and noisy country , life happens often on the streets . Dogs are here to guard houses , the cocks cry early in the morning and party starts usually at 11 pm ending a 4 am . AEROLITO is a quiet oasis in the center , four blocks away from the main strip . It depends from where the wind blows , and where the moon is , noise comes from outside into this paradise .
!!! Earplugs !!!
We had a great stay with Ariane in her fun jungle garden :) She gave us lots of really good recommendations we followed them and we would recommend doing so! They were some great places especially what she called the meat restaurant and mezzanine where you can have delicious cocktails :)
The room was really lovely, but you do have to be ready for a few mosquito's but Ariane has got a really good mosquito net around the bed.
We had a hire car which made it nice and easy to get around but the main street is in walking distance..
Each morning we would have a good talk with Ariane and her lovely son and we felt very well looked after!
Thank you for everything Ariane we really enjoyed our stay!
Ariane's Aerolita Casa de Arbol is such a cute jungle tree house! We really liked the lush garden, geckos, open kitchen, and delicious breakfast--thank you.
It was cool to be in a neighborhood in Tulum that we may not have explored if we had stayed on the hotel strip; that being said, you will need a rental car to easily get to the beaches and cenotes. Ariane is a gracious host and has great recommendations, her restaurant recommendations were the most delicious and the cheapest. The Carbonista has the best tacos ever! Highly recommended!
Our host was very kind and chill. She gave us a map with various points of interest marked that we used exclusively during our stay in Tulum.
The place itself is lush with wildlife and quite beautiful with various greenery everywhere. We spotted a few lizards here and there so those who are afraid of the cute critters should probably think twice about Aerolito. Though, if I'm being perfectly candid, lizards are a bit unavoidable in Tulum.
There's a giant trampoline that was loads of fun to hop around on and various hammocks everywhere if you want to relax outdoors. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and hearty, plus it was a great way to interact with Ariane and the other guests.
Such a wonderful stay with Ariane in Tulum! Her property is fabulous and very peaceful, breakfast was reliably great/substantial, great location close to the bus station (but off the main road enough to be quiet). Ariane was super helpful with great food recs, bikes for rent (a must) and snorkels available for cenote exploring. Rooms were great, clean and quiet!
Bottom line: if you're going to stay in town (which I quite enjoyed, being my first time to tulum), this is an awesome place to be!
We stayed for 3 nights at Aerolito in the tree house and loved it. Ariane was a great host and the tree house although quite rustic was charming.
Located in the residential part of Tulum it was quite far away from the beach strip so away from the hotel area which was really nice to get a more local feel. After staying in hostels travelling around Guatemala and Belize it was really nice to come to a home and have breakfast with Ariane in the mornings. There is a great kitchen set up so you can cook your own meals, all kitchen necessities are provided as well as fridge/freezer to store beers and ice cream! We absolutely loved Tulum and Ariane was a great host!
I stayed at Aerolito Tulum in the Casa del Arbol. Ariane's place is beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. She made a wonderful breakfast every morning with coffee, yogurt, the best tasting fresh fruit ever, eggs, beans, and avocado. We had our own kitchen with bottled water provided. It was an open air kitchen, so no walls and we were still in nature even if we were in a kitchen. There were beautiful trees everywhere. If you're not into nature, lizards, or being without an AC, it might not be the place for you. If you'd rather stay in the town and meet locals than only hang at a beach resort, it's the perfect spot! Ariane also had many great recommendations of places to visit while in the area. Absolutely wonderful!
Aerolito is a lovely place! It's really near the bus station. From there, it's possible - and delicious - to go by bike to the ruins, beach and natural swimming pools. Ariane is a very nice host. And I loved my room in the tree! ;)
Ariane has been a great host and we loved Aerolito and the tree house was perfect! The location is perfect, close to Tulum main street and still quiet and relaxed with beautiful exotic garden and lovely surroundings! Really enjoyed breakfast there and so easy to rent bikes and cruise around. Ariane has also given us great advice on where to go and what to do in our journey through Yucatan and Chiapas. I highly recommend this place when u go to Tulum, way more real then the area with hotels and mass tourism;) thank you Ariane!
She was a great host, very warm and accommodating!
Ariane's was a wonderfully hospitable, generous & knowledgeable host. Her property is amazing. I stayed in the tree house and it was perfect... spacious, clean & lofted above her backyard jungle setting. The free breakfast each morning was delicious! A+
