No campers or RV's are permitted and ATV's must be kept on trailer at all times.
•Due to the remote location and distance to the volunteer fire department our insurance carrier has placed an occupancy restriction on our policy. We cannot have our policy put at risk so occupancy on the premises by additional persons, beyond the specified maximum, will result in the forfeiture of your security deposit and/or early termination of your rental period, without refund or rental fees paid.
•No Visitors will be permitted at any time (this is due to guests using our cabin as a party house in the past). No Trespassing signs are posted that say only approved guests are allowed on the premises.
•Telephones: The telephone long distance is not blocked so that guests that work on vacation can send faxes or make phone calls as cell phone coverage is limited in this area. Each guest is allotted 15 minutes for making long distance calls at no charge.
Great Room with spectacular views of the Toccoa River, wood burning fireplace ( firewood is not provided).
We had a wonderful stay. The home was beautiful and in a great location. It was well appointed - we were amazed at how well appointed the kitchen, video games, etc were.
Wonderful host and took care of things as stated and expected. Very professional and prompt.
Only thing we were surprised about was age of the furnishings (sofas, beds, etc), etc - they are not bad, but definitely have had much milage. It is a rental, so it's probably expected. Definitely not a big deal at all. Again, it was not bad, but just not new like you would find in a good hotel.
We had such a wonderful time at this home. Three couples went to get away for the weekend and we did just that. We enjoyed the fantastic media room, played games on the XBox, used the fireplace in the pavilion each night and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The only thing we didn't get to do was stay longer. Thank you for such a wonderful home!!!
I just rented this cabin for a weekend reunion of old friends, and it could not have been a more perfect setting. This is the lap of luxury in the middle of pristine woodland, with a gorgeous river running through it. "Spectacular" is actually the word I would use. The great thing about this place is the flexibility to accommodate large groups or small. We were originally supposed to be 10 people, but ended up being 5, and Lisa only rented us the bedrooms we needed (the rooms are key coded, so some doors just remain locked). Would be great for a family reunion - lots of space for privacy, lots of space for gathering. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning drinking coffee and looking out over the river. We played pool and ate dinner out in the gazebo, and of course, relaxed in the hot tub. The Media Room is like a small movie theatre, stocked with popcorn and candy. No detail has been spared. There are a lot of rules to follow, but it's what keeps the house impeccable. The kitchen is the size of my living room, and stocked with every possible gadget you could ever want to use. Delightful! And Lisa was very welcoming, accessible, and responded to all my questions within minutes!
This place is spectacular. Wonderfully organized, super spacious and absolutely beautiful. My lady and I took an emergency vacation after a couple tough weeks at work- Lisa was extremely helpful even with a last-minute arrangement. Everything in the kitchen is labelled and inventoried which made meals quick and easy. Will definitely be booking this place again and bringing friends!
The River Ridge Lodge was amazing. The get away from Atlanta with my friends couldn't have been better.
Everything in the cabin was exquisite. From the media room, to the outdoor gazebo; to the balconies and the great room.
The large kitchen made entertaining a snap. Any kitchen tool a professional might need is available in a clean and well organized kitchen.
While playing horseshoes in the backyard we could wave to kayakers heading down the Toccoa River.
Awesome cabin and we all had a great time. Thanks!

About the Host, Lisa
We were fortunate enough to discover Orcas Island back in 2003, it was then that we made the decision this was where we wanted to retire. In 2011 we made this a reality and focus on our vacation homes full time. We enjoy working on projects where we can find a ugly ducking of a house and turn it into a beautiful swan. My husband is incredibly handy so we can do all the work ourselves. We work well together as his talents combined with my passion for interior design makes for a winning team. Favorite hobbies are cooking, entertaining and sailing. Our children are very precious to us as we lost our youngest son a few years ago and now realize how important it is to to slow down and make time for family and friends. Everyday is Precious!
