The Space

Light-Filled Luxury

Completely Renovated Heritage House (3bd/3bth)

* plush 450 thread count sheets & towels are provided on site

Nestled on a quiet, spacious, tree-lined street, only minutes to Downtown Northampton and Smith College.

A lovely heritage restoration with large open living spaces; restored original maple wood floors; white-washed wood wainscoting; lovely large paned windows (allowing for luscious light and serene spacious views of neighboring New England heritage homes and gardens); as well as three bright and immaculate bedrooms and baths.

Enjoy the wonderful chef's kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, complete with two stainless steel sinks, generous granite countertop spaces, and custom oak cabinetry. The kitchen also comes fully-equipped with immaculate chef's utensils and serving tools (including high-end flatware, tableware, pots, pans, bakeware, glassware; microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster.)

Complimentary organic bar soaps are also provided for guests, as are complimentary coffees and teas.

The home has been tastefully and thoughtfully furnished throughout, with a light blend of luxury antique and contemporary furnishings, ensuring an airy and spacious atmosphere within this large and light-filled space. Feel right at home amidst the warm reclaimed and antique wood tables and writing desks, luscious down-filled custom-upholstered sofa, supple American-made leather reading chairs, reading lamps, and handmade cotton quilts, creating an uncluttered but cozy, clean air of plush comfort.

Bathrooms have been fully renovated, keeping in line with the heritage restoration, with extended white-washed wood wainscoting, granite countertops, porcelain sinks, and custom maple cabinetry.

All 3 bedrooms come fully-equipped with plush queen beds and luxurious Westin Heavenly beddings. All 3 queen beds are new . (A 4th plush-top queen air mattress can also be made available, upon request); and, freshly-laundered, 450+ high thread count cotton sheets and towels will be provided on-site.

Explore the wonderful bike paths, walking trails, farmer's markets, and organic gardens nestled between Florence, Northampton, and Smith College, connecting all the amenities of modern living with the natural beauty of the Pioneer Valley; and take a short one-walk block stroll from the house to Florence Center for its own small collection of markets, bookshops, and cafes.

With absolute privacy and quiet in mind, and exclusive private parking for two-to-four cars right outside your door, we hope you will enjoy the serene and light-filled home.

The house comes fully-equipped with high-speed wireless, and a powerful central air system throughout.

Thermostat controls have been made available for temperature adjustment at your fingertips; though the temperature should be kept between 62-68 degrees during the winter; and 72-78 degrees during the summer.

(During the spring and fall, we generally do not turn the thermostat on at all! Ceiling fans located throughout the house do a great job of keeping the space temperate, with wonderful air circulation.)

Of course, if you need to change the temperature, you will notice how quickly, evenly, and efficiently the heating and cooling adjusts throughout the house.

The house is extremely well built and well insulated (without a single drafty corner or nook throughout!) and so retains heat in the winter and coolness in the summer exceptionally well. We take great strides in the conservation of energy at the house, and appreciate your respect and efforts in ensuring low energy usage.

Help us keep the house green and clean!
