Interaction with Guests
I live on the lower floor at Braeside House with my own outside access. I am therefore usually around and can be contacted via the intercom.
Each guest is provided with a set of Guidance Notes to assist with familiarisation of the apartment facilities and the surrounding area.
Green Point Village is a declared Heritage Area of narrow streets with residences mostly built around a century ago. Braeside Road was only converted from a path to a road about 60 years ago.
Cape Town's MyCiti bus service is now operating in Green Point. This has significantly improved the public transport links to the area.
The 'hop on - hop off' city sightseeing bus service is recommended for newcomers to Cape Town.
The number and availability of taxis in the area has shown significant improvement over the past couple of years.
Staying at the Braeside House was wonderful. The house is actually more beautiful in person than the pictures show, and I thought the pictures were lovely. Stuart is very relaxed, as most of the people we met in South Africa were. He was around to help with any little thing we needed and was also out of sight leaving space for privacy. The housekeeper does live in a space just off the main house and came and went through the house that we rented. It was not a problem at all for us, however if you are looking for total privacy, this may not work for you as there is a modicum of sharing. The bathtubs in both bathrooms were divine for soaking after long days of walking. The location was perfect for a home base for many daily adventures. We walked to the waterfront, The Bo Kaap, downtown and many shops and restaurants nearby. We navigated the whole city by bus and rented a car only one day to go see the Penguins. When I return to Cape Town, I would love to rent from Stuart again.
The property was exactly as described. It is a beautiful and spacious apartment. Amenities were well provided and the apartment is situated very well. Stuart was friendly and helpful, even in some of his suggestions before we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay in Braeside House. Thank you Stuart.
We had a wonderful stay at the apartment, everything is as advertised. Great neighborhood of Green point.
I highly recommend staying at Stuart's.
A return visit to Braeside House was another success. Superb location, everything one needs with great space, finishing touches and an attentive yet unobtrusive host. Fabulous!
Really beautiful apartment conveniently located. If you don't fancy driving or taxis then Green Point is a great option for dining and drinking close to home.
Stuart was unobtrusive and Caron, the housekeeper and her daughter were very lovely and equally hardly visible! It was never a problem that they had access to the back part of the apartment and both were happy to help if we had any questions. Literally everything was thought of so there was no need to bother Stuart but I felt I could call on him if needs be.
Would happily stay again and recommend in a heart beat.
Stuart was accommodating with check-in, prompt in responding to emails once in the house concerning parking arrangements for our rental car we picked up a few days into our stay, and had a beautiful home. We look forward to returning to Cape Town and this wonderful rental. Both he and the live-in housekeeper were a joy.
We had a great time in Cape Town, and Stuart's house contributed a great deal to that. Excellent location, close to, if not to say at the Waterfront, the apartment is spacious, fully equipped kitchen, nice living room, and bedrooms and a small but appreciated patio.
All together a great experience, and I would not hesitate to come back if ever visiting Cape Town again. Come to think about it, I most certainly will. Loved the city and our stay there.
