Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Serene, state-of-the-art suite in Refugio guesthouse just six minutes from Paso Robles main square. King-sized bed with exquisite Italian linens, down duvet and pillows, mini-bar, and luxurious bath.

The space
Refugio is a peaceful retreat, a place to wind down at magic hour with a glass of our excellent local wine on your own private deck. We are a "B and B," but the second "B" stands for bottle: There are no cooking facilities in the suite, but the myriad dining options of Paso are six minutes away by car.

Guest access
Your own private deck, sheltering under a 300-year-old oak tree, boasts a gas fire-pit and comfortable seating; a solitary horse will likely be your only companion.

Cocoon in your king sized bed outfitted with exquisite linens, plenty of feather-and-down pillows, and down duvet. Or take a leisurely bath in the huge oval tub, while watching the flames flicker in your own wood-burning stove. High-efficiency temperature control via remote.

Heated tile floors, double vessel sinks, and an expansive shower round out your bath experience, (email hidden) offers morning coffee, a fridge to chill your wine purchases, and reverse-osmosis-filtered drinking water.

Browse the house-book for nearby dining suggestions from the property’s owners, cookbook author Brigit Binns and her husband, Paso Wine Man (aka Casey Biggs). A bottle of our own Refugio wine awaits you on arrival.

Other things to note
Ask us about adding the Refugio kitchen studio, lounge, and patio to your suite. From $225.
Or, rent the whole Refugio House (both suites, plus kitchen-lounge-patio). Listing (phone number hidden)

Cooking classes often take place in the Refugio kitchen. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) "Cooking Classes at Refugio" and click on the current schedule at the bottom. And/or email via that site, to be added to our (occasional) mailing list.

Private Catering Available:
Chef available upon request to cater breakfast, lunch, or dinner for one to ten in the Refugio kitchen/studio, using recipes from Refugio owner Brigit Binns' book, "The New Wine Country Cookbook: Recipes from California's Central Coast," or any of Brigit's other 29 published cookbooks on subjects ranging from steak to polenta to the West Coast's best road food, and more. The menu will be tailored to your taste, the size of your group, and the wine(s) you plan to drink with the meal. Prices begin at $250, plus the cost of ingredients.

A Farmer’s Market Box of fresh picked seasonal vegetables, fruits, and eggs is available from Templeton Valley Farms for delivery prior to your arrival or during your stay!

Private Massage Available:
Lauren Harvey has trained in Meditation, Hatha, Restorative & Flow Yoga as well as Swedish, as well as Thai & Esalen Massage. She strives to encourage and inspire a practice to uplift, revive and re-center the mind, body & spirit. Price ranges from $80-$130.

Price previously included legally mandated 10% transit occupancy tax. AirBnB will now be collecting that tax. As a result we have REDUCED our prices.
