Bali cottage is truly a gem of AirBnB! The location itself was even more exotic and beautiful then we imagined ( so much, that we didn't even leave to explore captain cook as planned!). Nestled perfectly off the road and just a few blocks from swimming at the bay, the cottage provides a secure feeling of seclusion, but with all the necessary amenities and the host next door, nothing was out of reach. Ron was a gracious host and he made us feel welcome to what is clearly a one-of-a-kind abode.
The Cottage is in the middle of the private "jungle" from Karen and her husband - when you step out of the door you find yourself in the middle of trpical trees , orchids and plants. Mungos and Geckos are running around, birds are singing in the trees but in 2 Minutes you are on the Manini-Beach :)
The shower and toilet are an experience themself - openair feeling but private!
The Kirchen is complete with everything your heart could wish and there is as well a BBQ which we were allowed to us...
Karen and her husband are very helpful, they gave us tips and helped immediately as there appeared suddenly a new rule about snorkeling in the Bay:)
We really loved to be there and can highly recommand the Bali Tree Cottage and Karen and Ron as hosts!!!
What an awesome vacation spot! We were only able to stay one night but loved every minute, even through the rain
My week at Karen & Ron's Bali Cottage was all I had hoped it would be. They were gracious, welcoming and helpful. I loved the quirky little cottage....I felt like I was in a treehouse! It's a great place to unplug, kick back and relax.
A bit far from town but that's part of the charm. Manini beach is small but lovely. It feels like the neighbourhood place.
I would, and have, recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a "non-commercial" island experience.
Karen and Ron were lovely hosts - welcoming and helpful. Even the cat, Purry, was a delight. Ron and Karen gave us lots of tips about the area, scenic highlights, restaurants, and told as about a great grocery store for supplies. The Bali Cottage was especially charming, romantic and relaxing. The garden setting is as lush as the photos reveal and we enjoyed making our meals in the outdoor kitchen and BBQ.
We hope to be able to visit again!
