A unique rustic place that fits the setting in a tucked away get away in Hawai‘i. An opportunity to get away from hustle and be with friendly down to earth people. Every one in the area was warm and inviting.

Not only is this place a one-of-a-kind, full of character, beautiful cottage, but also the hosts, Karen and Ron, are incredibly friendly and gracious. We thoroughly enjoyed brewing some coffee in the morning and watching the dolphins spin across the bay as well as watch the gorgeous sunset in the evening. We were able to buy groceries and make most of our meals at the cottage which is our preference; and everything we could need was available to do that. I highly recommend staying at Karen’s when you’re visiting the Big Island!

Karen & Ron we’re exceptional, gracious hosts! The cottage was beyond our wildest dreams and we could not have asked for a more perfect paradise on the Big Island. We snorkeled in the morning and explored the area each day. We appreciated the complimentary ear plugs that helped us have a peaceful night sleep while our woodland friends played. Karen and Ron provided us with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay on our Honeymoon. We especially enjoyed hearing the history and hidden details of the property. We highly recommend the Bali Cottage to anyone visiting the Big Island if they are looking for a unique and peaceful experience.

This was our second stay at the tree house! Karen & Ron are the best hosts and the tree house is beautiful down to every detail. Everything you could want or need is there. A short stroll to the beach for sunset and a great place to just relax. Again, our stay was too short! Whenever we visit the big Island we will always stay here thanks again for a great stay :-) Sharon & Richard

The cottage was magnificent, felt like we were in a secret, enchanted garden. Lovely ambience, everything we could need for a weekend getaway. Also a very historical experience, with all of the Balinese artifacts and surfboard collection and location on kealakekua bay. The sweet, friendly kitty was a nice addition. Loved being able to walk to the beach park. Ron and Karen were such gracious hosts, showing us the lay of the land when we arrived and checking on us this morning to ensure we had slept well and had everything we needed. Even Brought us treats for Ryan's birthday! Such a lovely and relaxing experience overall. We live in Hilo so will definitely recommend to friends and cannot wait to return ourselves! Thanks again Ron and Karen. Aloha!

Karen and Ron are very kind and sweet. Our stay was shortened when we had monsoonal rain and the cottage had leaks - Karen was very helpful and understanding of our reservation change. The cottage is quirky yet charming but be ready for the mosquito, centipede, cockroach, spider and lizard guests that also share this home.
