This place is a gem, and Karen and Ron are amazing hosts! The cottage was very comfortable, and we loved waking up to the sounds of the birds. We even made a cute little gecko friend. :) The porch was great for hanging out and relaxing, and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Inside there cottage there were books and card games. We also loved snorkeling and watching the gorgeous sunset in the bay! It was just a quick walk to the water, and there is plenty of snorkel gear on the porch. I can't say enough good things, and I only wish we had spent more than one night here!

My wife and I had an incredible two night stay here. I wish we could have spent more time - we loved everything about it. The cottage is beautiful. Bright, open and vibrant. Everything was spotless. The cottage is a short walk from the bay, which is a great spot for snorkeling or relaxing in the sun. Karen and Ron were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were very lucky to have had the opportunity to meet them and stay at their cottage! We highly recommend!

A picture is worth a thousand words. We travel somewhere special every year. The ambiance of this secluded tree hut more than fulfilled our expectations. A one of a kind and only a few steps from the beach. We enjoyed the birds singing in the morning & the nuts falling & rolling off the tin roof. There were gecko's on constant patrol in the hut to keep the bugs in check. Ron & Karen were the perfect host!

The Bali Cottage is even more beautiful than it appears in the pictures. A true work of art with dappled light coming through the antique tike panels. At first I though it was a bit dark, but I quickly came to appreciate it very much. I generally endorse the other glowing reviews. The only thing I would disagree with is I didn't think the bugs were bad at all. It's the tropics! Yes, there were bugs around, but none bothered us. I don't think I got a bite all week, and some were quite pretty. We wholeheartedly recommend the place, especially for honeymooners.

A magical experience! We arrived at sunset and Karen welcomed us into the cottage, we had just arrived in Hawaii, escaping from the stress of city life and it was a perfect place to feel immersed in an Island fantasy. Incredible antique carved panels, furniture and lighting we were transported to paradise the minute we stepped into the cottage. Comfortable, clean and with everything we needed, this is the kind of place you dream about finding, an absolute gem.

This is probably the most unique place I've every found on AirBNB. We only stayed here a single night but would love to come back. The cottage is stunning and romantic, and extremely well equipped. Karen and Ron were gracious, helpful hosts. The cottage is just steps from Kealakekua Bay (which has some of the best snorkeling on the island), and just a few miles from Pu'uhonua O Honaunau Park. It's a residential neighborhood so you'll need a car to get to other attractions and restaurants, but the cottage is so great that you honestly won't want to wander far :-)
