Lovely small Irish Cottage with a nice sea view from Kitchen Window & Garden. We were lucky to catch the early Sun Rise to the right of the cottage at the side of the church every morning which was beautiful. We had two travel cots with us, we put one in the twin room & one in the living room. House is really ideal if you need a twin room & double room or only one travel cot if travelling with a baby. Ballycotton is a small viallage with a small local store for basic supplies. There are a couple of pubs where you can get food, and it has a great fish & Chip shop. Everything is within walking distance from the cottage.

It was a nice little place with great views. It was hard to find, but the sign on the gate helped greatly. It is pretty far to use as a base for Cork City because it takes quite a long time to get to the highway, so best used as an out of town getaway. My only complaints were that there were quite a lot of spiders and there wasn't any toilet paper.

The cottage is exactly as described; clean, comfortable beds, roomy and a wonderful view of the sea. Great starting point for the cliff walk, several pubs with good food a short walk away. We found the locals of Ballycotton to be welcoming and friendly. Margaret left us a extra treat, tomatoes from her garden, delicious. We would stay at Margaret and Barry's again and would recommend Hillside Cottage to all travellers wishing to stay in this special part of Ireland.

The cottage has a beautiful and spectacular seaview, from the bed, you won`t leave so fast. And when doing your homework like dishwasching, it`s wonderful. Greetings form Gabi
