Thank you so much Diana and Joe for warm hospitality. We really loved our stay here. The room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom is big and spotless. Location is unbeatable, so convenient..short walks to subways and tonnes of nice restaurants and small local shops. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Diana & Joe's place to anyone who visiting NYC. Try to book well in advance though :))
Diana was very welcoming. We kept her updated about our arrival and though we had to change arrival hour several times she took it all in stride. We felt very welcome and comfortable in our room (fresh flowers, fruit and coffee maker were a nice touch) and the bathroom was great. All very clean. Major renovations were underway in the foyer and downstairs area and that part of the house should be very nice when the work is done. We would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed meeting Diana. She was very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. We enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs bedroom and private bath. Park Slope is a great neighborhood in Brooklyn but if you are going to spend a lot of time in Manhattan, it is a long and sometimes complicated commute.
Unfortunately our host was gone while we stayed but their friends provided all the help we needed. The area was great with many restaurants very close by. The apartment building seemed a little shabby but when seeing our son's apartment in the same area it was very comparable. Location was great for us as it was only a 15 minute to our son's apartment.
We enjoyed our stay in Diana's home a lot. It is a fantastic townhouse with pleasant neighborhood.
The house is very clean and the sunny bedroom as pretty as in the picture.
It was easy to go anywhere we liked.
We will definitely adopt Park Slope for our future holidays in New York and we highly recommend Diana's place to our friends and family members.
Diana is a very nice hostess. The room was clean and ready to use when we arrived. The bathroom was spacious and clean and the shower fine. The location is perfect with easy access to 5th Avenue and a quick walk to the Union St. station. Diana is very respectful of your privacy but also makes you feel at home. We would gladly stay here again.
Note: There are stairs to the second floor so if you have any condition that would make climbing stairs an issue should talk to Diana before renting.
Diana is a teaching artist in NY City's public schools and exhibits her contemporary quilts here and overseas. She and her husband have four grown children and grandchildren who drop in often. We love hosting and meeting people from all over the world.
