Interaction with Guests
We travel a great deal so we may or may not be in the area. We are happy to help with sight seeing suggestions.
All the neighbors are very friendly. We can walk to town for basics like milk and eggs. There are two good restaurants within walking distance. It is very quiet here. We have partial views Tomales Bay and good views of the ridge of Pt. Reyes National Seashore. There is good hiking right from the house.
There is no public transportation available in Inverness.
Other Things to Note
This house is 100 years old. Like most Inverness houses it is not insulated so only come with good friends.
NO more than 7 people at the house at any given time. ( Exceptions made for dinner parties or such). Absolutely no smoking in the house or on the property. Dogs may be acceptable depending on the breed and number. We expect that people treat the home and neighborhood as if it were their own respecting others privacy and desire for peace.
This beautiful home was perfect for our extended family of 8 (3 couples and 2 small children) each had their own room! The kitchen was fully equipped for making meals that we enjoyed in the large sunny dinning room surrounded on 2 sides by windows. The views of the bay and surrounding woods were spectacular. The wrap-around deck and outdoor ping pong table looked inviting, but it was too cold during our visit to use much. However we certainly enjoyed making fires in the large fireplace in the living room and there was a large wood pile on premises for guest use.
It was a fabulous location: easy access to Inverness, Point Reyes Station, kayaking in the bay and hiking in the National Seashore.
When we arrived at the beautiful home of Sasha and Hanson we were beyond moved. The property is stunning and Sasha greeted us at the door with an inviting warmth.
The house exceeded our expectations. Like others I do not want to write a review because I want this house open always for my family.
We had a wonderful time in the grand dinning room for dinners. Every morning we woke to the incredible views of Inverness throughout the house. Our dog loved the porch and the walks we took in the neighborhood. I am counting the day's until we can return.
Lovely home! Everything was just as described. We only stayed the weekend but wished we had a whole week to enjoy at this beautiful place! Hosts were wonderful and very pleasant to deal with!
The home was very comfortable -- plenty of room for our group of 7 women.
Alexandra's home is a gem in Inverness. My family loves the charm and serenity of this beautiful, well kept home. We love the cozy feel with 2 king rooms with comfortable matresses and tasteful linens and even a bunk room for my children with some dolls in a doll bed to play with. From the diningroom, we look out of panoramic windows at wildlife, trees and flowers and from the kitchen, a gorgeous tree. This is truly the perfect home to relax and unwind while being close to nature trails and hidden and majestic beaches. We love cooking oysters on the grill outside, playing ping pong and sitting by the big fireplace in the livingroom. Alexandra has thought of everything from a well stocked kitchen, outside grill, nature trail maps as well as many old classic children's books for bedtime reading. This is the perfect home to relax and enjoy nature. Our family will return to this special house. Thank you Alexandra.
The description and pictures for this Airbnb listing were spot on. This is a beautiful, warm, well-equipped, and comfortable home with a lot of character ... a perfect gathering spot for a family or group of close friends. The house is well located, with easy access to the village of Inverness, hiking, kayaking, good beaches (bay and ocean), biking, and Point Reyes Station. Sasha met us upon arrival to show us around, and she made us feel utterly at home. We would love to return someday.
We are a happily married couple of 25 years. We have lived in Germany and traveled all over. We love being able to rent other people's homes and are happy to rent ours out to people we feel will respect our home and care for it in the same manner we do, We sail a Knarr, we hike, we cook, we eat good food. Yoga is big for me and my husband likes to invent. As a host I will want you to be well cared for, but not feel entitled. We like old movies, we like documentaries. I read novels, he reads historical biographies. We love books.
