Where you’ll be

Orte, Lazio, Italy

Close to Orte and the grandiose Duomo and Vasanello with the fairy tale Castello Orsini, very lively villages where gelato is 5 stars and pasta all’uovo( fresh hand made pasta) is made on order and stuffed with all you can think of. Hanging out in Vasanello main square is an experience you don’t want to miss. Orte train station is minutes away from the property and it will allow day trips to Orvieto Rome and Florence. Bomarzo with Parco dei Mostri is 20 minutes away. I have spent entire days with my children exploring this amazing ante litteram amusement park also referred to as the Sacred Grove. Thermal baths are a strong theme in the area. And you just want to decide wether you like it cold or hot. Driving to the shore we do. On super hot summer days. We live early and we head ti Pescia Romana Pescia Fiorentina or Capalbio. Where the Italian Intelligentia and Aristocracy likes to hide. Unless you decide for Spiaggia Libera( which means you carry what you need chairs umbrella etc and is for free) make sure you book in advance. We can help with that. You may be fond of trekking. There is a lot you can do. My favorite is Monte Cimino where you get a taste of real mountain in the time of a very short drive. And you go from super hot to super cool. Such a treat.
