Makarska is a small city on the Adriatic coastline of Croatia, about 60 km southeast of Split and 140 km northwest of Dubrovnik, and it's one of the most famous tourist destinations on the Croatian coast. It's the center of the Makarska Riviera which stretches for 60 km between the towns of Brela and Gradac.
Makarska is located on a horseshoe shaped bay between the Biokovo mountains and the Adriatic Sea, grew around a natural harbor protected by a picturesque peninsula of Sveti Petar (St. Peter) and the cape Osejava. It is the only harbor of this kind between the mouth of the Cetina and Neretva rivers. There is a ferry line which runs a few times a day from Makarska to Sumartin on the island Brač.
To this day, Makarska is known for its sandy beach, which is almost 2 kilometers long. The walkways are lined with pine trees and surrounded by luxury hotels, tourist facilities, and gastronomical havens, and there is plenty of fun for both adults and children.
The city is also noted for its palm-fringed promenade, where fashionable cafes, bars and boutiques overlook the pretty harbour where many pleasure craft are moored.
The center of Makarska is an old town with narrow stone-paved streets, a main church square where there is a flower and fruit market, and a Franciscan monastery that houses a sea shell collection featuring a giant clam shell.
During the summer months the harbor fills up with yachts and tourist ships, while young people crowd the main Kačić square enjoying entertainment and cultural performances.
As the night goes on, Makarska becomes livelier and livelier, and its cafes, restaurants and discotheques fill up.
Our house is situated in the center of the town, and it's just few minutes by foot away from the main square, the nearest beach, cafe bars and restorans!
The room is brand new, and it has own bathroom and fridge. Also has lot of day light.
The parking place and use of barbecue is included in the price.
Hope that you will like our room, and we'll enjoy to host you!
Our guests have a private parking place in the yard, and they can use the barbecue with sitting area in front of the house.

It depends on the guests, if they are interested for chat I am always up for that, or if they just need some information about the city I'll be glad to help them.
The neighborhood is very calm and safe.
Makarska is a small town and everything is reachable by foot. If you are arriving by bus you can reach us for 10 minutes walking. If you are arriving by plane you will probably be landing in Split, and there are three ways you can get here. You can take a bus to Split center and then taking a bus to Makarska. The bus lines are very frequent every 30 minutes, than you can take a mini bus that can drive you straight from the airport to the address that you need, or you can rent a car and drive yourself. The trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes if you are driving along the coast, or 45 minutes if you are taking the highway.
