Nicolas was an excellent host. His apartment is beautiful, clean and very well kept. Although the we rented a room in his flat, he respected our privacy. The flat is in a great location with very easy access to all the areas of paris. Would love to come back and stay again!
Nicolas received us very warmly despite he was confused about number of guests checking in and forgot to send check in instruction.
he apologized for the misunderstanding we had at the begining and showed us bed he allocated for us. the place is great however dont expect much of privacy because bed only yours and the rest you have to share with Nicolas even the room you are in it is full of Nicolas personal belongings. Nicolas is very helpful guy and can guide to anything in Paris
Nicolas has provided good service and warm welcome. He made sure everything was clean and set before I get the room. Thanks
Nicolas is very nice. His house is very convent to the city centre . He also provide breakfast for us. Also, his room is very beautiful and clean. It is pretty comfortable.
I had to admit the location of this apartment was good but I had to say this was a terrible airbnb experience for me.First of all,my flight arrived early so I would need to drop my luggage in his department and then go out to explore the (website hidden) I knocked the door and left my luggage there around 8:30 am,he charged me 15 Euro for that.Secondly,I sent him the message by airbnb to tell him I would check in when I come back at night bacause I don't want to waste the time on the way. Since he was living in that apartment with me,I thought that was Ok and he replyed 'This is perfect tell when you intend to come back.' Maybe I misunderstand the part 'tell when you intend to come back'.I got his phone call at 8pm when I was watching a musical show and told me he was planing to spend the night with his girlfriend. If I want him to wait for me I had to pay 25 Euro. And Nicolas kept telling me he had a life too and I did not show the respect to him. I felt a little annoying and ridiculous that moment If you had already made the plan I think we could adjust our schedule to meet the need of each other such as he can drop me the key in my location before he left the town or some other ways. When I came back he insisted I should pay in cash before I check in.That was not friendly at all! The last one, The airbnb picture did not show you all the thing of that room. The moment I went inside,I was surprised that his suits and shoes took over a whole (website hidden) really didn't make you feel welcomed and you can own the room temporarily, that reminded you'Hey, you just borrow the bed here'. Later in my trip, I met a Franch friend and I told her all my experience because I wanted to know what happened to me in Paris was normal or not.She answered me ' Of course not, that was so meant.' I thought the whole point of airbnb was to make friends with strangers, but I didn't feel it that way in Nicolas's apartment.Luckily I did enjoyed my time and had good communication with my three other different hosts during my trip.I decided to write this down only trying help others to see the whole picture here and make the choice on their own.Btw,I have not typed so many words for a very very long time!
I have received many many visitors, ETHAN is certainly the less educated. I DO NO RECOMMEND ETHAN.
I have a long list of positive reviews on my flexibility and on the appartment...
Ethan cannot understand that check in time needs to be agreed on both sides and not imposed. Especially if for personnal reason he had decided to change previously agreed check in time a couples of hours before agreed arrival.
He certainly expects people to remain on site 24 hour a day.
If Ethan is not ready to be flexible, may be he should be going to the hotel where he will pay 3 times the price....
Nicolas was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The apartment was in a great location for our short stay in Paris. Thanks for an easy arrangement.
L'accueil était très aimable. L'appartement était bien situé et en tout point conforme à la description faite. Adresse à recommander.
