About this listing
Only a short walk from all main City centre attractions this is an amazingly quiet bedroom with a personal ensuite bathroom. Access to spacious lounge, kitchen and balcony in a safe, modern apartment.
Northern Quarter, Arena, stations etc all close.
Please use the "contact host" button if you want to check out a date or have any questions. I have a 2 night minimum stay set but this is not always the case so please feel free to ask about single nights. Occasionally I can do this. Also could you let me know approximately what time you are planning to arrive as I need to make sure I'll be there for your arrival. An Informal breakfast is included. The kitchen is available and there will always be a decent breakfast to be found! ( let me know what you like, within reason! I'll try and make sure it is available) Clean towels provided. Iron, ironing board, European adaptor plug and hair dryer too. The ensuite bathroom is all yours and not shared. The "Street View" loaded on this listing is a little inaccurate! It's nicer than that, see pic above!
The apartment is situated very conveniently for everything you may want to do in central Manchester. Within 5 minute walk you can reach the vibrant Northern Quarter, Manchester Arena, Band on The Wall, Shudehill coach and bus station, Victoria Station, the Printworks, the National Football Museum, Arndale Centre, the Cathedral.
Within 10 minutes walk: The Royal Exchange Theatre, Deansgate, John Rylands Library, Spinningfields.
Within 15 minutes walk: Piccadilly train station ( or a short metrolink ride) Manchester Airport is 18 to 24 minutes away from Piccadilly dependent on which train. If you have luggage and want a lift from Piccadilly I can sometimes do this (no charge!) if I'm available dependent on arrival time ( but I only have a little car so 2 people and many large bags may be tricky!)
Manchester City's Etihad Stadium is 1.7 miles away. Manchester United's Old Trafford is 3.7 miles away. ( Metrolink connections from Shudehill)
Time limited free parking outside the building. Message for full details.
There are also 3 different free city centre bus services which run until 7pm each evening helping you get virtually anywhere in the City centre without too much walking.
Despite all this once you are in the bedroom it is usually an oasis of calm and silence.
Whole flat apart from owner's bedroom of course! kitchen, dining area, TV, music and free wifi.
Interaction with Guests
May or may not be around, will give as much privacy as possible but happy to chat and socialise if you want to. No obligation though!
Please message me before trying to book as things change so quickly sometimes I can't always keep my calendar super accurate. Also please don't be put off if you see "unavailable". Sometimes these are provisional arrangements and , especially if it is a short stay, it may still be possible...just ask, thanks.
If you want a comfortable, quiet, good night's sleep but still want to roll out of bed in the morning and be in the thick of everything Manchester has to offer then this is the place!
Couldn't be much better placed. Main bus, coach and metrolink station 5 minutes walk away, as is Victoria railway station. Piccadilly train sation 20 minutes walk or short tram ride away. The 3 free city centre bus services also help get you around.
Other Things to Note
Whe you enquire please let me know what time you are likely to arrive and leave and the reason why you are coming to Manchester. It helps me to let you know if this is the right place for you. I also feel more comfortable talking to people whose photo I can see on their profile.
I like to be as flexible as possible with check in and check out but that is always dependent on who is staying just before and after you. If you want to arrive before noon or check out after noon it can only happen if it does not affect other guests. Thanks.
You will be very welcome and it's very relaxed here but just to say this is Airbnb so please don't expect a hotel. It's my home! I'm easygoing about most things but if you are coming back late please be very quiet after midnight. And it is no smoking. Thanks.
About the Host, John
Easygoing guy just happy to let you get on with your own thing. However I've lived locally for most of my life and have years of experience of life in the city centre and if you're a stranger to this wonderful vibrant city of ours I would be more than happy to advise. I also have a particular interest in the local theatre scene. Anything you want to ask about anything... just ask!
