People call it the “upside-down house” because we put the kitchen and living room upstairs to guarantee that you would have the breeze and the view while you are cooking or enjoying a glass of red wine while watching the beautiful sunset.
Spacious house, all in white for a fresh feeling. Watch the sunset from your living area. Minimalistic design with everything you need for a great vacation.
Big garden, shared pool, wifi, safety box, cleaning 3 times per week.

Martina´s house is wonderful. The beds are comfortable and in the bedrooms there is good light to read a book. When we were there, every day there was a cool breeze in the upstairs room which includes a kitchen, dining table, hammock and comfortable sofas. As said in an early review, the palm trees have grown, partly blocking the view but on the other hand the palm trees partly block the afternoon sun, which is a advantage. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our dinners. A plus is the small swimming pool in which we spend several evenings relaxing and chatting. The Carrizalio beach is a few minutes’ walk away. Manzanillo and Puerto Angelito are a little further away but taxis are cheap and easy to find close by. The Cafecito bakery and coffee shop is half a block away. The bread they sell and meals they serve are quite good. And Martina´s restaurant (Nene) is a few blocks away. They serve excellent meat and vegetarian dishes. A definite 10 rating!
Martina's house is beautiful and conveniently located 1 block away from Carrizalillo beach. My parents and brother and family stayed there (I didn't) and they found the location perfect having both a child and a couple in their 60s. I enjoyed the pool once in the afternoon. It is an excellent cared for place close to everything.
We had a great time in Puerto Escondido! The house is located in a great part of town and looked just like the photos. It was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated. With the beach and excellent restaurants so close, it made for a perfect beach vacation.
We would stay here again!
Martina's villa is a nice location, is clean and accurately described in the listing. The photo of the view from the top floor is quite different from the present view, which is much more limited.
An amazing location overlooking the ocean and Carrizalillo's sleepy strip. So many wonderful places to spend time in the home and more importantly in the neighborhood. Best spot in Puerto Escondido. The house is clean and bright and the hike up to the third floor rewards with a view and comfortable privacy. Shared yard and pool were well kept. Other guests were only confronted in the comings and goings, but exchanges were frequent. Martina and her staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Her restaurant is not to be missed!
The place is neat, close to the restaurants, and really close to the beaches, you have acces to a shared pool in the yard, to an open kitchen on the last level, it’s really convenient and best to relax in the hammock during hot temperatures. Martina is a professional host and really welcoming.

Growing up in Germany I learned where I definitely not wanted to be for the rest of my life. My first time to come to Puerto Escondido was 25 years ago, I moved here 12 years ago, and what can I say... I still love it.
