About This Listing
This family home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath and rest on a quiet neighborhood street. Downtown is accessible easily by bus, the UW is available by bus, bike or walking.
Beautiful home in great Seattle neighborhood. Close, walkable to UW, Children's Hospital, cafes, stores, University Village, and the Burke Gilman bike trail which can take you pretty much anywhere!
Please no smokers. I have this listed as a non-smoking house, and that doesn't mean that smoking outside or elsewhere is ok and then coming into the house. The chemicals and smell linger on a smoker and therefore, please no smokers allowed.
My guest have full access of the house other than my room.
For the spring, I will be home later in the evenings only, but gone the rest of the day and early evening. I will be out of town most of the week after Memorial Day, for a couple of weeks at the end of June, early July and again later in August.
Interaction with Guests
If and when I may be at home, my guest would have complete privacy and access to the entire house, or feel free to ask me anything or any of my neighbors! It is very casual and if someone would like assistance, I am always available.
I prefer female guest or couples when I am at home. Guest must have at least some verifications through Airbnb and preferable reviews. Thanks!
My neighbors rock! It is a very friendly neighborhood with folks out walking and conversing frequently. We are very close to anything and everything. Restaurants and cafes are walkable, PCC, our coop is walkable, several parks, the UW, etc.
There are several bus lines within a 5 minute walk down the street. The bus does not go down this street, making it a very quiet street. Our underground train is coming, a quick bus ride down 65th street, but that is still years away.
Other Things to Note
I do have two cats that go in and out a cat door. I could ask a neighbor to feed them or the person staying could take it on. They are very sweet and friendly. They do not sleep in the main area of the house but are closed off in the area with the cat door. They are also not allowed on the leather furniture :)
Please wash your own dishes and clean up after yourself. Please purchase your own food and other necessary items. The basics along with an easy breakfast (bagels, cereal, fruit, juice) will be provided. I would not be able to prepare the breakfast, however. There is an alarm system and I ask that it is set on every time the guest leaves the house.
Lizbeth made sure I felt welcome even though she wasn't going to be there. She had given me her neighbour's phone number, and he came with his charming little daughter the minute I called. He was concerned I understood how things worked and whether I was hungry.
I enjoyed staying at Lizbeth’s very much. It was convenient to all I had to do in Seattle -- even though once I got there, it’s so quiet and pleasant, I really only wanted to relax in the most welcoming swing on the deck! The cats are well-behaved, beautiful. And not only are her next-door neighbours great, several people I stopped on the street to ask directions or information about the bus stops were also kind. Thank you, Lizbeth!
Lizbeth's place was perfect for our short trip to Seattle. We had a lovely little bed, with french doors leading out to the balcony. We were only in Seattle overnight and needed a quick place to sleep that was close to downtown. We loved her place and would definitely recommend it!
Lizbeth was a lovely host! Her place was the perfect stay. She made sure we had fresh linens, some breakfast, also she always made sure to keep us posted on the easiest way to get around. (Buss schedules and peak hours) she has the cutest cats and a gorgeous backyard view! She made us feel right at home. Two thumbs up for lizbeth!
The neighborhood is really cozy, and very convenient if you have a car. The house is lovely, and Lizbeth is sweet and smart. We really enjoyed staying in the place, and would definitely recommend it.
Lizbeth was really friendly and accommodating. She agreed to accommodate an extra friend who decided to visit me kinda spontaneously. Very clean house and the friendliest cat Baloo. Highly recommended considering its proximity to the university of Washington.
i had a wonderful stay in lizbeth's home. she was flexible, accessible, and accommodating. the neighborhood is quiet and charming, and i always found a nearby parking spot for my car. the local organic food co-op was very convenient, as was proximity to the beach and an easy drive downtown seattle. what i enjoyed most was the perfect blend of congeniality and privacy...and the view of the cascades from the patio with my morning tea :-)
Staying with Lizbeth was great! We contacted her very last minute and she was very forthcoming and flexible to accomodate us. Her house is very lovely with a fantastic porch and very cute cats!
