The apartment is a bright two-bedroom (**but please note that one is a kids' bedroom with bunk-beds**) on the coolest corner in the Mission (which happens to be the best 'hood in SF). We're steps from Mission Dolores Park, the BiRite gourmet empire-let, amazing restaurants, the finest croissant west of Paris (at Tartine Bakery) and galleries, fun shops and transit (BART & Muni). Internet is provided, but no parking (no need!) and no TV. European lifestyle: stroll to shop for your fresh ingredients across the street and open a bottle of local wine.
I’m sure you have lots of plans and your own agenda but a few things to point out are: the playground at Dolores Park, across the street--semi-new and pretty fun; Tartine bakery at the end of the block (really special treats) and ice cream at Bi Rite Creamery (right downstairs). There are also incredible Korean tacos and great pizza at Delfina, all right on our (website hidden) Rite grocery across the street is great. BART is two blocks away, at Mission and 16th; or you can catch Muni at 18th and Church, one block the other way.
We live on top of a gallery/cooking community space (18 Reasons) that usually hosts a wonderful soup and beer night (18th Hour Cafe) with homemade food, live music on Thursday nights--can be really fun.
Strolling Valencia St. is also fun: we like Tacolicious, Mission Cheese, Paxton Gate Kids Store, the Pirate Supply Shop at #826, Phoenix Books, Currents, Boogaloos for brunch, Scarlet Sage, and Arizmendi Co-op bakery, among other great stuff! There’s a pharmacy at 18th and Castro.
Please no smoking or pets--we have badly allergic kiddos.
There’s a coin opp washer and dryer right outside our kitchen door on the back porch.

We stayed at Elizabeth's place 4 nigths and everything was perfect. The apartament is very comfortable, clean and tidy, it really felt like home. It is quiet, the rooms are huge and sunny and, although we didn't use it, the kitchen is very complete.
The location was great, definitely the best one in Mission. There are nice restaurants in the same street, a cool gallery downstairs and Dolores park is around the corner, which is a very good place to park the car for free. MUNI and BART are close as well.
Elizabeth is the perfect host. She answered our emails right away, gave us lots of tips and recommendations in the neighborhood and made everything so easy.
Next time in San Francisco we will repeat for sure.
Excellent address all round. The location was fantastic for grown-ups as well as for our 6 year old, who really enjoyed Dolores park. The apartment is exactly as described, bright and welcoming. The only caveat is that the street is busy and can get noisy at night, but it did not really bother us. Elizabeth was very easy to deal with and charming. A lovely retreat in happening SFO!
We stayed in Elizabeth's apartment for 5 lovely nights. The apartment is really spacious, clean, has a great kitchen, and is surprisingly quiet given the location. ( we never heard a peep from the neighbors either). Our family ( two adults plus toddler) felt at home - it's just a cozy, comfortable space and a great home base for a trip to San Francisco. The location is fantastic, on an amazing food block and in one of the sunniest spots of the city. It's also within easy walking distance of other fun neighborhoods a block from MUNI and close to the BART and some good bus lines.
Elizabeth responded quickly to my messages before booking, and was available via email and phone during our stay - we had no need to be in touch, but it was nice knowing it was an option. You can tell from the tone of her messages that she's a really nice person.
We loved staying in the apartment and it will be our top choice for our next trip to SF.
We loved Elizabeth's Apartment. It was so cute and very clean and even had beautiful flowers . The location was great and has so many fantastic restaurants near by in walking distance. All her tips about that was very helpful. My kids enjoyed the park and tennis courts down the street. We were very lucky to get 70 degree sunny days and took advantage and walked around the neighborhood and enjoyed every bit of it. The apt is spacious and sunny .
Elizabeth's place was great and my group of friends and I had a wonderful time. She was really helpful with helping us find parking, good places to go in the area, and making sure we were comfortable and happy! The place was clean and spacious, next to a beautiful park, and close to a lot of great places to eat, especially ice cream! I would highly recommend her as a host and I know that I speak for my whole group when I say we would all love to come back here!
The appartement is very nice - spacious, clean, stylish, functional, ...Elizabeth is very responsible and welcoming host. The apartment is in great location - minutes to Tartine Bakery, Delfina, Bi-Rite Ice Cream, Bi-Rite Grocery market and Mission Dolores park (which also has an amazing play ground that my kids love). My family had a great time. Anyway, highly recommended.
We had a wonderful experience staying @ Elizabeth's. The location is very central & easy to get all over the city from there. If kids are traveling aling too there is an amazing playground right around the corner (Dolores Park). This provided much needed down-time for our kids each day. Our week went by so fast while we were in San Francisco. It was nice to have such a homey place to stay!
