About This Listing
650+ sqft New York City bright alcove studio, partial water views of Hudson River. Luxury doorman building features outdoor pool & bbq area, steps from promenade, a few blocks from World Trade Center & many other sites. All subway lines nearby.
This is a very large space. The building has beautiful grounds, including picnic tables, outdoor pool, landscaping and bbq. It sits on the promenade with views of the Hudson River, and is steps away from Ground Zero, many monuments, and the marina with great restaurants. All subways convenient.
My guest will have access to all of the common areas including the bbq and picnic tables and laundry room. There is a gym and outdoor pool, both with day rates.
Interaction with Guests
If you are renting the entire apartment, I'll be there when you check in and out, and am available to answer any questions. If you are sharing the apartment with me, I will likely be present during your stay, and am fairly busy during the day and most evenings, but am sociable and love to provide tips on everything NYC has to offer.
Battery Park City and the Financial District, right next door, have the most memorials anywhere in NYC. The promenade is beautiful, with great restaurants and a pretty marina. All subways are convenient, and there is a free bus that will take you throughout the neighborhood.
All subways accessible and there is a free neighborhood shuttle that stops right in front of the building. There is a parking lot with market rates attached to the building. From the airport, the building is accessible by subway, shuttle or taxi.
Other Things to Note
This is an alcove studio to rent alone or share, available for two guests if alone, and one guest if shared with me. It is a very large L shaped apartment with the bed on one end and the dining area on the other. The living area is in the middle. The sleeping area is not visible from the dining room, where you will sleep on the air mattress, which is put away for the rest of the day.
Please be respectful. No smoking inside. If you smoke please feel free to use the common area outside. Check in/out times flexible. I'm sorry but I do not accept packages or mail on your behalf. There is a post office nearby though. Just let me know if you need details.
Kim is very helpful and kind. The room is clean and the location is convenient. Since it was my very first time to use abb service, I think I was very lucky to be able to stay here. Thank you very much.
Kim was very kind and met me at the unit to turn over a key. The unit was just as advertised and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the massive water pressure in the shower the next morning; it practically blasted me clean.
I would rent from her again.
Kim was an amazing Host!
She was very flexible and welcoming, and I enjoyed our conversations.
I loved staying there, the location was perfect for what I needed (well connected (: ). It was as depicted on the photos.
The apartment was lovely and in a very good location in the financial district! It is very much as pictured. Efficient & small as expected, but very neat and aesthetically appointed. Kim was very kind, responsive and flexible regarding communication about checking in, etc.
The blow-up-bed mattress wasn't as comfy as it would be in a different season due to a blast of cold nights and the fact that there was no mattress pad to help hold in body heat. We added a towel under the sheet the second night but it only helped a little - not as good as a real matteres pad or perhaps a foam pad would be.
Kim was a kind and gracious host. Space was exactly as described and the area around her apartment is amazing. Convenient walks to all transportation or easy walking distance to lower Manhattan and Tribeca for great restaurants and bars. Had to cut my stay short but will hopefully be able to return at some point!
