As always it's the people you deal with that makes all the difference. Ralf and team are even more fantastic than the apartment. It would be impossible to have had a better first experience with Airbnb. The apartment was a delight, clean, well equipped, and with a perfect location. I highly recommend and will be staying here again.
Great location in Recoleta, managed by a professional agency. A great option if you are looking for something more like a hotel experience.
We arrived and Marcelo was there waiting for us. He took a lot of time to go over the info about the apartment and also spent time explaining how to avoid getting scammed and ripped off. Since we were two women traveling alone, his advice was very helpful and much apreciated.
In my opinion this apartment is in the best neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Very high end with great shoppes and wonderful restaurants all within easy walking distance. The apartment was exactly as advertised. I would definitely stay again.
We were greeted by Andres who was very helpful. He was also available to answer questions during our stay. The apartment was perfect in many ways for our stay (3 people). The space is large and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and we prepared several meals quite comfortably (one cook at a time - it's small). There really is no fountain view because the vegetation covers it. In the apartment there is a strong smell of mold - especially in the kitchen. We were able to leave the doors and windows open at the beginning of our stay and that helped. We talked with Andres about it and it will be addressed. He is the BEST!
The location is nice but there is no easy access to the subway (there is no subway line to Recoleta). Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Overall, we had a very comfortable and nice stay.
O apartamento é confortável, a localização não poderia ser melhor. Próxima a tudo, segura, perfeita.
Obrigada, esperamos voltar.
When we got to the apartment, we were met by Macello, Ralf's property manager. He did an amazing job of walking us thru the apt, telling us about how everything worked (lights, safe, bathrooms, locks, etc). He was professional, easy going and knowledgable. The apartment was clean and modern, the views of the courtyard were great, and the neighborhood was safe and ritzy.

About the Host, Ralf
Although a German national, I have actually resided outside of my native country for almost half my life. My first ventured abroad to Greece where I worked in guest relations at a premier hotel in Athens. From there I moved to Sydney, Australia where he held an post as personal assistant to a major politician within the Australian Parliament. Soon, with a desire to be more independent, I followed my instincts and in Sydney I opened, managed and ultimately sold, two very successful natural food and juice bars. It was then, in 2007, When I decided to return to a place which I had visited some years before---BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA---and now, it is the place I call home!
