A beautiful, quiet,
homely retreat, affectionately known as 'Villawarra', sitting on over 6 acres of landscaped, nature friendly paradise. The property is within short walking distance to the Margaret River, the townsite and entertainment, forest walks and rides, and 5 minutes drive to beaches and wineries.
Here you are; a short driving distance to some of the most unique coastline and wineries worldwide, walking distance to forest trails, the beautiful Margaret River, and to town for shopping, dining and music entertainment at the 3 local hotels.
But if you are seeking 'time-out', then this is the place to lay about to the sound of bird song and the view of kangaroos grazing in your back yard.
The winter creek leads to a private peppermint tree 'fairyland' and continues to join a beautiful section of the Margaret River.
Star-gazing the huge sky-scape and full moon walks are also highlights.
The house is an open plan style suited to social and family living, but has 2 separate queen bedroom spaces, 2 extra single beds in a quiet part of the living area and another 2 extra single mattresses available. There are 3 outdoor verandahs - numerous places to fit your mood.
Mike and Suzie live in a studio apartment 30 m from the house and are available to help out with information or things that you may be needing.
All linen and towels are provided.
There is a fully equipped kitchen.
We have a washing machine.
We have a portacot and high-chair for babies and toddlers.
2 adult bikes and 2 small bikes for younger children are available for use.

We have a television screen and DVD player, a selection of DVDs and a rental shop in town. Unfortunately TV reception is not available unless using the wifi and your own computer.
There is Wifi and a large library of books to keep you entertained when not out exploring the beautiful countryside and meeting our local mob of kangaroos.
Guests are free to walk anywhere on the property.
Breakfast is not included in the rental price.
Interaction with Guests
Mike and I are available to help with information about the town, events, facilities and to provide anything you may have forgotten if we can. We live in a studio apartment 30 metres away from the main house.
The sense of space and quiet while so close to town is the magic of our place.
There are no local buses. Transport is by walking, bikes or by car.
Other Things to Note
The extra guest cost will not apply to children under 10. This will be refunded during your stay.
It is a great family holiday house with many adventure places for children, wonderful walks and interesting areas both on the property and also beyond.
Please leave the house as you find it.
Our water is rainwater, so be sensitive to not overusing it, particularly during summer months.
We would like smokers to use the verandahs and be sure to extinguish flames in summer.
Amazing place. The pictures don't do it justice. We had a wonderful two days, walking the grounds, watching kangaroos, making dinner, watching DVDs. The house is clean, comfortable and super cozy. We'll be back sometime!
We loved the place. Michael made the house warm and cozy by litting the fire place. The place is very clean & spacious and the surrounding is lovely. The "outdoor" bathroom is unique, a difference experience for us. Wish we could stay longer. Would definitely be back here if we ever visit Margaret River again. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful place, Michael & Suzie.
It was a unique experience stay for all of us, as we came from the city. The house is lovely, with the basic necessities and cozy environment. Micheal made it more welcoming, by setting the fire for us. The phone signal is low in the area. But if you don't mind it's a good chance to be away from all the technology stuff, and just be close to the nature out in the field, or enjoy a coffee and book reading.
I booked Mike and Suzie's place for a long weekend with a friend, and my mother and her partner who were visiting from New Zealand. It was the most perfect place we could have found to show them Margaret River and we loved every minute of our stay. Surrounded by trees and wildlife outside, and inside, a roaring fire each night. The house was beautiful; peaceful, interesting, comfortable and clean, and Mike and Suzie, truly lovely people.
A real slice of Margaret River heaven. Perfect little getaway from the city. We enjoyed cups of tea on the verandah, watching the wildlife, and walks down by the river.
Comfy bed, with great quality bed linen. Well equipped kitchen and DVD cabinet. Have a go of the Salvador Dali puzzle!
Both Suzie and Mike were prompt with replies from the start and it was easy making arrangements with them. House was easy to find, and location great. Mike had a fire lit ready for us when we arrived - kept the whole house warm and cosy all night. We had a great time - lots of books, DVDs and games provided to keep us occupied. The outdoor bath was unique! We also loved seeing a kangaroo close up, right outside our bedroom window when we arrived, as well as a whole group of them in the morning when we went for a walk. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your lovely home, Mike and Suzie!
Beautiful accommodation close to the center of town. Suzie and Mike were easy going and flexible with check in/out - I will definitely re book next time I visit Margaret River.
I live with my long-time partner Mike on some beautiful Margaret River land.
We play a range of musical instruments and I teach music at one of the local schools.
I have interests in natural medicine, massage, art, books and writing and our natural environment.
