  • Our stay with Doug and Linda exceeded all expectations. The place is spacious, beautifully decorated yet still homey. Doug and Linda were warm and friendly hosts, and the breakfast that they offered was one of the best I've ever had (you can't pass up the caramelized grapefruits!) The location is gorgeous nestled in the hills but with easy access to great hiking trails (camel's hump, Mt. Abraham) as well as Burlington, not to mention just near the cute town of Bristol. I would recommend this place to everyone I know!

  • This was a lovely spot, nice and quiet although on a numbered route. Room was spacious and nicely furnished with extra pillows and blankets, fell asleep quickly to the sound of crickets chirping. Linda and Doug were very kind about my arriving at 10:30 pm, later than I anticipated! Doug cooked me special breakfasts to accommodate my dietary needs which were much appreciated and delicious. The small shared refrigerator in hallway was helpful also in this regard. Would love to return soon!

  • Great location surrounded by awesome hiking trails, good food, rushing rivers and picturesque towns. Perfect location for day trips to Middlebury and Burlington. There was so much to do, we hardly spent time in the room! Very comfortable bed, accommodations and friendly hosts.

  • Nice room in a very nice location. Great food as well. Just in case you need it, be aware that there is very little cell phone service. Thanks again!

  • We booked a room during Winter Storm Nemo weekend. While some other people cancelled we kept ours and Doug and Linda rewarded us with an upgrade to a better suite. Great breakfast and dinner. Great hospitality. A nice, cozy room with tv, gas fireplace, and stunning morning views. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Doug and Linda!

  • I was very happy here! There was an unexpected upgrade to the room and I (email hidden) with cushy bed and gas-burning fireplace, which I enjoyed for many hours. The food and hospitality were excellent; the hosts even lent me snowshoes to go wandering in the forest.

  • A wonderful, rustic and charming place to stay in beautiful Vermont. This quaint bed & breakfast feels like home and is a convenient drive to the towns of Bristol and Middlebury. The delicious smells wafting from the kitchen, beckon you downstairs and if I wasn't on a mostly raw food fast, I would have indulged. The friendly staff are always there to help if needed and Doug, the chef, gave me the most yummy handmade chocolate truffles. The grounds are picturesque and a great inspiration for writing or painting. My room was so warm and cozy with it's fireplace and a good selection of dvd's. Loved my stay!
