Mary Catherine's place is perfect if you need to be in Harvard for any reason. We stayed there for five days with my wife. Walking distance to campus, the shops, the restaurants. The flat has an architectural elegance and a personal warmth that will make you feel you are someone's guest. Great taste, great neighbourhood. Not easy to park around, so better to arrive by cab.
We arranged to use this apartment over a weekend to accommodate my family for a visit to Cambridge. My niece wrote the following.
" Mary Catherine’s place is in a great location. The building is quiet and the apartment looks just like the photos on the site. We had our two children with us and we all felt quite at home. We would recommend this to others and would also stay there again in the future. There was a mix up with housekeeping (we straightened it out and all is well) so you might want to double check with your host to ensure that aspect goes smoothly."
I also loved the apartment. It is beautiful and the neighbors and superintendent were very welcoming. It is in walking distance of Harvard Square and the T. Not easy for parking. Ask Mary Catherine for tips on that subject. I plan to use it in the future for guests.
Note:Text Mary Catherine when you contact her as the Airbnb email didn't seem to work.
Me and my 7 year-old daughter had a wonderful stay at Mary Catherine's apartment. She is a wonderful host, I received immediate responses to my questions and requests and she was very accommodating. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photographs, beautiful, stylish and very comfortable, spacious for Boston standards.
The apartment is 5-8 minutes walk to Harvard Sq. right across from Cambridge Common with a great playground. Although I wouldn't recommend this apartment for families with very little children, because there are nice decorative objects and wall hangings that trying to protect these from kids could make your stay a bit stressful :)
Mary Catherine's apartment is as excellent as it looks. Great location and easy logistics as far as coming and going.
We had a fabulous stay in Mary Catherine's apartment. The space is really beautiful (it looks exactly like the pictures!) and the location is perfect. We had to communicate a few times during our two-week stay, and it was always easy to reach her. Highly recommended.
