Ana's lovely Yellow House Bed & Breakfast was wonderful. Our room had an amazing view of the city lights of Valparaiso and the local neighborhood. We enjoyed a comfy bed and lovely room and a very nice breakfast to send us on our way. Ana and her daughter were very helpful in accommodating an early arrival and providing a city map that they marked with local things to see and close by places to eat in the neighborhood. Ana helped call for two taxis to help us and our travel friends get to the ship terminal the next day after breakfast. Our friends also enjoyed their room and the stay. The Yellow House is conveniently located for the views, steps from an ascensor to take you up and down the hill, small market, and great local restaurants. A perfect stay. Thank you Ana.

Ana and her daughters were very friendly and helpful. They spoke English which was helpful and not very common in Chile as a whole. Location is near Naval Museum and in a quiet spot at the top of the hill. There's a lift that helps get you there when tired and we walked to most of the major sites in the city with no problem, but needed rides to the bus terminal because it was a bit too far to walk with luggage. Breakfast was good and they threw us a New year's eve party! We had a great stay!

The owners were helpful and the breakfast was nice. The big table downstairs is great to play boardgame even if you are a group or a family (we were 9)

Ana and her staff were most welcoming when Sandra and I arrived. They provided lots of information by way of introduction to Valparaiso. The accommodation was just as described, clean and comfortable, and very good value for the price. The Yellow House is obviously very popular and a great place to stay for a visit to Valparaiso.

Our room at The Yellow House had a marvelous view of the hills and the port, especially at night. The breakfasts were very generous and a great way to start our day. We really appreciated the hot shower after spending some time in South America where we didn't get any hot water. Charly was very helpful the first day with telling us what to see and where to find good restaurants. It was a great experience sharing stories with the other guests at breakfast. Unfortunately, the ascensor was closed for maintenance during our visit, but someone at the desk was always willing to call a taxi for us. We would definitely stay at the Yellow House again, especially so we could eat again at Café Postale up the hill.

We loved our time at the Yellow House. My husband and I traveled with our adult daughter and stayed in the family room that over looks Valparaiso. The view was great day and night. The house is in a great location, just a bit tricky to find (as are many places in that area). We should have been a bit more prepared by asking for directions before we arrived (our mistake). The breakfasts were very good and there was plenty of French press coffee --- delicious ---- and Martin kept it coming. There is a kitchen and fridge available if you want to bring in your own food. Can’t say enough wonderful things about Martin and his hospitality. In addition to his hospitality, Martin arranged for a tour of Valpo with Boris. It was a fantastic tour and I only wish we had time to take his cooking class. Boris took us on 3 different types of transportation and showed us the best parts of Valpo. Even my daughter, who lived in Valpo for 6 months, thought the tour was great. Martin also arranged a great tour of the winery’s and Isla Negra with Oliver…..another great choice.
