Relax & escape the heat in a Colorado ranch house while soaking your cares away in an indoor hot tub. This isolated house was an original homestead and head quarters of a working cattle ranch. Enjoy scenic views, bird watching, star gazing away from city lights, a huge kitchen, guest house , walk in shower and a fenced yard. A great way to get FAR away for a couple or up to 10 guests. The space
We are isolated and a great place for team building and retreats. Cellular service is iffy BUT WE HAVE Wi-fi SO MESSAGING APS WORK WELL and I-messenger is a great option as well. Emergency info is by the landline phone in the kitchen for guests to review.

The house has a large master suite, hot tub, very large kitchen and two living room/sitting rooms. There are two additional bedrooms with laundry and mud room.

Our bunkhouse has two bedrooms and a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower and full sized washer dryer. There is no kitchen and it should be considered as two extra bedrooms.

Large fenced yard with mature spruce, pine and aspen trees. The guest house is included and has two bedrooms and a large bathroom with laundry.

There are stairs at the entry with the back entry having the least (three). Being an older home, some doorways are low.

Cattle are in the property. Watch where you walk!! There is no pooper scooper service! It is a ranch.

Guest access
Guests can access the house, guest house and fenced yard. They may hike on the 1400 acre surrounding property. The outbuildings and root cellar are STRICTLY OFF LIMITS as they are used by our grazing lease holder. The root cellar is not safe and to be avoided.

Other things to note
Towels are in the bath room cabinets and extra bedding in the bedroom dressers and chests.

Cleaning supplies (accidents happen!) are in the closets leading to the white bedroom as is additional paper towel and bathroom tissue.

The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes and cookware. If we need to add items, please let us know.

The cabinets do have a few non perishables which are there for use in emergencies or situations where stays are extended due to weather.

The nearest neighbor is about one mile away! You are truly on your own, so feel free to make some noise.

The nearest town is Guffey, which is about ten miles via dirt roads. There are a couple of restaurants, but no one is open on Mondays.

Cripple Creek is 26 miles away and has limited stakes gambling, gold mining history with restaurants and amazing scenery.

The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park are about 20 minutes away with Canon City 26 miles away in the same direction. Canon is the most convenient place for fuel and groceries.

Colorado Springs with Garden of the Gods, The Unites States Air Force Academy, Pikes Peak and The US Olympic Training Center are about one and a half hours away.

Dawn and dusk are perfect times to look for deer, elk or other wildlife. There are binoculars in the living room that you are welcome to use.

The Nash Family hosts our property. We grew up there when it was a working Registered Hereford Cattle Ranch. The home is actually owned by six siblings and over the past eight years we have had opportunities to sell it, but no one was really okay with that. So we have decided to open it to others so that they can experience the magical place we grew up in. Julie is the youngest and closest, so she is the primary host along with her boyfriend Nathan. The six siblings are gemologists, bankers, consultants, farmers and ranchers, moms, dads, grandparents and live all over the US.
