We had an awesome experience staying with Elizabeth. We didn't actually cross paths with her while we were there, but she was always quick to respond to messages and was available to talk if we needed anything. The place itself was super cute and historic, situated in a quaint neighborhood, as well. Our room was very comfortable with nice amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen very clean. The private porch off our room was awesome! It was a great place to wind down at the end of the day and enjoy the lovely view with a nice summer breeze. There were plenty of restaurants and cute shops within walking distance--definitely a prime location! We were only a short ride away from the airport (about 20 minutes). I would highly recommend staying with Elizabeth if you ever visit Somerville.
This place was perfect for my needs for the weekend in Boston. It's a nice sized room in a really cool apartment. The deck off the bedroom was awesome for unwinding after the long days I had. Parking was a breeze. Plenty of restaurants, bars and stores nearby and for being right off of Union Square, it was very quiet at night. I would definitely stay there again. Elizabeth wasn't there that weekend but was easily reachable and made us feel right at home.
We stayed at Elizabeth's place for 4 nights over the 4th July celebration. really laid back and safe area, good eating places especially the family restaurant across the street, the accommodation is really great and the outside decking was a real plus. The communications with Elizabeth were excellent. Good local transport buy a Charlie card from the local convenience store which can be used on bus and T line. Highly recommended
Location and home was as promised. We were there primarily to visit colleges, and it was an easy walk (a healthy one) to Harvard, MIT and to mass transit. Very quiet with a nice private balcony.
We had a great time and loved the house. There is plenty to do with in walking distance. Elizabeth is a very gracious host!!
The perfect location to see Boston, close proximity to the airport, trains, and easy walking to restaurants. We loved our two days of sightseeing in Boston, a beautiful city. . A lovely deck to enjoy the summer evenings. The write up says that there are two beds, so please be aware that one of the beds is a camp cot, not a real bed, and that the bathroom is shared with the host.
Elizabeth's home was really beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't met but she was very thoughtful thinking of everything one could probably need! Highly recommended!
About the Host, Elizabeth
I work as a Chauffeur and Bostonian tour guide. I've driven lots of famous people and they're usually not as interesting as a stretch limo full of 11 year old girls.
The activities I enjoy the most are Pilates, hiking/glamping, body surfing, clam digging, rock collecting, traveling, reading, art/music and just hanging out with my friends and family.
I have a collection of dictionaries and I love vintage purses, old movies and dark comedy
