  • Our stay was awesome! It's a beautiful and spacious place that was clean and in a great location. Just a few blocks away are some great restaurants but the street is nice and quiet. Parking within a couple blocks was easy to find and getting to downtown was pretty painless.

  • The apartment was perfect. It had a big livingroom and a really nice terasse with a great view of San Fracisco and the Golden gate. I only communicated with patty on mail but it worked out fine. I will be back

  • Great place in a great location. We have held two team retreats here, renting out both units. Plenty of space and even privacy in this house, which is laid out on several levels. Beautiful views and in a gorgeous area of San Francisco. We will be back!

  • The main issue we had: the photo of a house pictured on the site is not a photo (at least an accurate photo) of the house you will be staying in. Look up the address and go to the Street View to see the actual house as it looks today. And the caption with the house photo ("a view of some nearby Victorian cottages") was added after I complained. It is actually a photo of the house - but with some changes made to make it more attractive.

    A multi-story house is being built next door, so the big windows and lovely views in that direction are now blocked.

    Because the 1/2 bath is miniscule, the one full bathroom will be put to lots of use, especially if you fill up all 10 bed spots!

    We checked ourselves in and out without any personal contact with the owner or Patty, his property manager....which has both good and bad aspects.

    We found all the signs on the walls, telling you what to do and warning you what not to do a little off-putting. And a recommended list of things to do in the neighborhood would have been an easy, helpful addition. Though the owner assures us he would have corrected things had we complained, the unit was not quite ready for prime time: a leak from the skylight which hadn't been closed properly, spots on the duvet, hanging wires from the unattached smoke alarm, etc.

    On the plus side:

    Great location. Safe location. Pretty street. Lovely views off toward the Bay (Willie Brown) Bridge. Beds were comfortable.
    Can't comment on the noise; I don't believe there were other guests when we were there. Street parking was easy, as Patty, the manager, indicated it would be. And Patty responded to all of our communications very quickly.

    We are sorry that Ann was dissatisfied with our accommodations. We would have gladly addressed her concerns during her stay but she never reached out to us until several days after her departure. We respectfully respond to her comments as follows: 1. Ann stated that one of our listing photos shows our building and that it has been changed to make it more attractive. The photo in question is a contextual neighborhood photo and does not include our building. We explained this to Ann but apparently she didn't believe us. There was nothing in our listing to suggest the photo was our building but out of an abundance of caution we added the caption "a view of some nearby Victorian cottages", which is exactly what this photo depicts. 2. There is a new building next door but there are still excellent views and light in our unit and from our deck. And we think our place is still pretty magical. 3. The half bath is small but very nicely appointed. 4. We have included a few unobtrusive and discreetly placed signs on the walls because we host large groups of people and, although we hope that everyone staying with us reads our manual, some guests nevertheless fail to observe our rules. The signs are a convenient way of getting important information to our guests. 5. The skylight is operable. A previous guest left it open and rain came in. It doesn't take any special knowledge to close the skylight, so we are not sure why Ann thought this situation warranted a comment. 6. We are sorry there were a few spots on the duvet and that one of our previous guests had dismantled a smoke detector. If you decide to stay with us and something isn't to your liking just give us a call and we will address it. We hope that all our guests enjoy their stay and we are very sorry that Ann was dissatisfied. We only wish she had given us the chance to address her concerns during her stay.

  • We had a great stay at the apartment. For a group of 4 there was plenty of space and the apartment had everything we needed - even a press pot for coffee in the morning.
    Having the patio was a great addition since it allowed us to enjoy the balmy 70 degree weather and escape winter for a few days.
    Location was excellent with easy access to public transportation and many neighborhoods in walking distance, including a great grocery store a couple of blocks away.

  • We - a couple - requested the place on a very short notice and stayed in week in January. Patty was handling this very pragmatic and flexible - in spite of the fact that there are some documents, requirements, "manuals" to be signed. But all of this was "fair enough". The place is a typical classical San Francisco home with a gorgeous view. Lovely. With lots of space. Actually too large for only two people. But the two of us need room and space. Public transportation (subway / metro) can be reached within a 10 minutes walk. Bus is closer. Also shopping will take a few minutes walk. However, the neighborhood is quiet, clean and residential. For us, just right. The house is well equipped. And the landlord responsive if things have to be arranged - chaining bulbs, etc. We found it very charming and we intend to come back

  • Wonderful place. Very comfortable. Six of us stayed. The upstairs sleeping loft was perfect for my two kids (18 and 21) and the two bedrooms were perfect for my husband/and me and my sister-in-law and her daughter.

  • We stayed 3 nights in San Francisco, two nights in the upper appartement ’Great views' and one night in the lower apartment 'Modern living'.
    We were a group of 8 people. Both apartements are exceptionally beautiful! The view on San Francisco is wonderful. It accommodates 8 people easily. The downside is that there is only one shower, which can be time consuming for 8.
    It was very clean and communication with the owner was easy as well.

    The 'Modern living' apartement is huge! Could easily accommodate 12 people. We especially liked the combined kitchen and living room, very communicative. Also the two huge bathrooms have been liked.

    The neighborhood is really nice, you feel safe at all times and its inspiring to just take a walk. Muni is just 5-10 minutes of walk away.

    If I was to visit San Francisco again, I would definitely ask Patty first! :-)

  • This place was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortably slept 6 people (4 individuals and 1 couple). Would stay here again for sure!
