Yes, Serena did welcome us when we arrived with help and instructions.
Yes we were able to (from the listing) have a rough idea as to which families would be most comfortable with the individual rooms. We also asked for additional cots for some rooms which was done. It was a typical city neighborhood with many people around. There were a few instances of drug activity on the steps of the building but disappeared when confronted.
Basically our family of nineteen ages 14 thru 82 were happy with the location with proximity to coffee shops and restaurants and close enough to walk to downtown areas. Linda always answered our e-mail requests promptly
Was nice, the house corresponds to what we expected. However, the rooms are getting old and a refreshment would be nice.
Linda was prompt to respond to me when my friends had locked their door key inside their room by accident, so service was very welcoming.
The location is impeccable, it is walking distance from Eaton Centre and has convenient parking on the streets perpendicular to Shuter St. so we were able to leave our cars parked while we explored the downtown core by foot.
The house itself has many beds, some of them were a bit more worn out then others, but based on the price and location alone, I would certainly say it is a good value, especially if you won't be around the house much.
Would come again.
Heritage house was perfect for our group of 16. Lots of places to sleep, great meeting place for us all to meet, our own house for the weekend! Great location as well. I would definitely bring another group to this location. When you go to park, have someone stay in the car while you fill out parking upstairs. We were gone 5 minutes and got a parking ticket. Thanks Linda for excellent accommodations.
