Interaction with Guests
I live in one of the bedrooms. I either work from home or the road. I like to travel and always enjoy meeting fellow travelers. If I'm home I am happy to talk, give you advice or help you with your itinerary.
There are 2 bedrooms listed here so you may also interact with another guest if the other room is booked.
I can pick you up and drop you off the airport, train or bus station for $30 each way if I'm available. A cab ride from the airport costs about $45. Please let me know a few days before arrival if you would like personal pick up.
Ashmont T station on the Red Line is a 5 minute walk from the house.
If you're driving, we're close to I-93.
Ample street parking.
Coming from Logan Airport:
Public transit from the airport to Ashmont station is free. Take the Silver Line bus to South Station.
At South Station, take the Ashmont train
Exit at the end of the line (Ashmont), which is 6 stops.
As you exit the station, look for Dunkin Donuts across the street. Walk up the street beside it (Bailey Street). The house will be on your left near the top of the hill.
If you need a taxi at any time, I can arrange one for you with a very reliable driver I have been working with for years. He is a licensed taxi driver and uses a city meter at the regular city rate. If you've ever tried to call a taxi in Boston, you'll know they are notoriously unreliable.
Other Things to Note

Steven was such a great host. The apartment was clean and the room was comfortable and quiet. The pictures and description of the apartment were very accurate. Having Steven as a host comes with high recommendations! We would definitely - without a doubt - stay there again!
I stayed with Steven for an extended period of 4 months in the fall of 2014. He is a great host and has been incredibly accommodating. He was also very quiet such that sometimes I wasn't sure whether he was home. He signed for my packages and even helped me find a reliable taxi for my early morning ride to the airport. I would highly recommend staying at his place when visiting Boston. For me this has been a great experience.
The apartment itself was clean and specious within close proximity to the Ashmont station. I had to ride the train to Cambridge every day and it took about half an hour from this station. This is a residential neighborhood. I understand that parts of this neighborhood can be sketchy at night sometimes but I never had any problems. There are several convenience stores and a few nice restaurants nearby.
The information given in the listing is accurate. The apartment has a large balcony to get some air and the washer/dryer in the basement. Although all three apartments in the building use the same machines, they always seemed to be available whenever I needed them.
Steven was a great host! I reserved the room the day before and he was able to accommodate my request and stayed up to welcome me and provide me keys to the apartment although my flight came in after midnight.
Our stay with Steven was great! He was very welcoming upon arrival, and quick to provide advice as to things to do in Boston. His listing is very accurate and his place is very comfortable. We were very busy during our stay and looked forward to our accommodations at the end of a long day!
It was nice to stay with Steven, clean apartment, nice porch. There are actually two rooms in the apartment rented out via Airbnb so it was nice to get to socialize with "roommates". Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Steven's house was just like the pictures, he was very kind and when we arrived he gave us the tour of the property and explained the details of the house rules. The neighborhood is good as long as you don't go any further south, we did not have the chance to talk much with Steven thus we ventured on our own to look for a grocery store and ended up in a sketchy neighborhood.

About the Host, Steven
Hungry to explore the world, meet people, make friends. I've been to 18 countries and lately going solo, which I've come to enjoy.
As a guest, I'm quiet, clean and respectful of any space I'm in. I don't smoke, I like to cook if I have time and I don't watch TV. What I do need are a space that is clean and reasonably quiet, close to public transportation and with reliable Wi-Fi.
I enjoy hosting more than I even imagined. I love meeting travelers from around the world, exchanging world views and hopefully enhancing their journey as other hosts have enhanced mine.
