This was the first completed house of three in the ‘Triptych of Time’ artwork by Mark de Jong. The second, the Stair House, also on Airbnb, is next door. The last, the Smoke House, is currently being worked on and also on the street. Experience living in an art work.

The space
-All of the renovation decisions were informed and affected by the swing and it's arc: the placement of the bed, the kitchen, the bathroom... everything. The finished basement has artwork made with materials sourced from the renovation.

Guest access
Guest will have access to the entire property: both levels of the house, the front and back yards.
There can flexibility in the check in and out times.

Other things to note
-We do not allow parties, events, or commercial photography. Again, the space as art, is activated with the stay of one or two guests. Personal photographs and sharing on personal social media is okay.
-There are a few stairs to enter and exit the house.
-There is a spiral staircase leading down to the basement, where the bathroom is located.
-The open space design produces unique effects in terms of lighting, sound and perception.
-Parking is available on the street, usually right out front.
-The kitchen is functional but not ideal for complex cooking, There isn’t an oven, and the fridge/freezer is a mini.
-Filtered water, coffee, tea, almond milk, milk and instant oatmeal are provided.

Neighborhood highlights

The Swing House is in a mixed residential and industrial neighborhood with an urban vibe which is seeing an influx of interests from artists and galleries. I have sound-deadening windows but you will hear an occasional fire truck/siren. It is conveniently located close to the University of Cincinnati, Downtown/OTR, and the neighborhood of Northside.
