This studio is located on the second floor of a house right in the historic center of the city. It has a direct access to charming Plazuela de Mexiamora, a traditional, pedestrian-only, plaza with benches and a fountain around which one can spend relaxing moments after visiting the other attractions Guanajuato has to offer.
This is one bedroom studio furnished with queen size bed, a full equiped kitchenette, one full bathroom and access to a balcony overlooking Plazuela de Mexiamora. Plasma TV, satellite TV service, Internet WiFi are provided. Access to the studio is through a nice spiral staircase.
A large terrace with panoramic views of the city can be used with permission of the owner.
In the immediate vicinity (within 600 feet) you will find renowned places such as the three Teatros (Juarez, Principal, and Cervantes), the University of Guanajuato, and the city's main plaza, Jardin de la Union, where you can enjoy the music from bands, mariachis and coffee and desert from different local business, if you so desire!
We truly believe this studio offers one of the best locations in the city, being so close to all the main attractions, quiet and easily accessible
For a small additional fee we can pick you up at the city bus station or at León Internationl Airport.

Tere's studio is the perfect place to stay in Guanajuato... The room is just wonderful and has a perfect location... Tere is real nice and friendly, too.... We recommend it 100%! We had a lovely time, Thanks Tere!
Tere's studio is very well situated on small plaza behind the Teatro Principal. Locals sit and visit, schoolchildren play there during the day but by night it is still and quiet. A very small store is on the plaza and a small grocery store is around the corner. A walk to the main squares are only minutes away. The studio is up a spiral staircase (beware of trying to get larger suitcases up them) . There is no light there so it is helpful to have a flashlight so as to see the key hole. There is cold bottled water, a small fridge, a hot plate and microwave and a few dishes and pots and pans. Get ground Cuban coffee from the tiny Conquistador Café in town, where they roast it on site, and you can enjoy a cup on the small patio in the mornings while overlooking the comings and goings on the plaza. Tere was helpful but has almost no English. Her eldest daughter was able to translate. The only things missing were a towel rack (or hooks) for wet bathroom towels and hooks in the bedroom for clothes. There is a large chest of drawers. A bonus is a nice hot shower- something not always found in Mexico!
This was the perfect location and apartment for my week long stay in Guanajuato! This location simply cannot be beat! The apartment is as described. It is very clean, plenty of hot water and great WiFi and TV. I didn't mind the grade school noise or Tere's family activities, but be aware that mornings are not the quietest time of day. I was able to cook on the 1 burner hot plate, but wished there had been an actual little refrigerator as the bottom compartment of the water cooler was tiny and not really cold enough to store food.
All in all it was a great experience and I would certainly stay here again and recommend this apartment to my friends. Oh...go eat at Los Campos restaurant. Fantastic!
Enjoyed a great stay with Tere in Guanajuato. The studio was private, well furnished, and in an amazing location just behind the Teatro Principal and a block from the main square. It offers all the basic functions, a small Terrace facing onto the quaint Mexiamora Square, and superfast wireless and a million channels on TV if you want to relax after a long days walking (and eating!).
Tere was friendly and accomodating despite her seemingly busy schedule. I'd stay with her again in a heartbeat - Guanajuato is a magical, beautiful little place.
This is a charming studio apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and the location is unbeatable. We were in Guanajuato for a week, which is plenty of time for a town this size, and explored what seemed like every nook and cranny. We think the plaza this apartment overlooked was the prettiest, steps to the center yet quiet and peaceful. Only thing was that the hot water in the shower didn't last very long so plan for quick showers. The spiral staircase to get to the apartment is steep but not a big inconvenience if you are careful. Tere was a great host and very responsive. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for comfort, value, convenience, and charm.
Unbeatable location 2 minutes on foot from the main plaza yet on completely pedestrianized square so totally quiet. Excellent value and Tere a great host. Two things you might want to know: entrance up a narrow spiral staircase in case you have physical issues; not the brightest apt. I highly recommend. (Note that mini fridge is inside water cooler.)
The first thing that struck us when we met Tere was her warmth and friendliness. We reached pretty late into the night and yet Tere welcomed us with a big smile and showed us around the apartment.
The apartment itself was perfect for the two of us. The convenience of the location cannot be emphasized enough. The walk to the main square took us about 2 minutes. The little kitchen had a few basics as well. The night we reached, there weren't any restaurants that were open. However, we were able to buy fresh produce from a grocery store 5 minutes away and make eggs and toast.
All in all, it was the perfect experience and we would definitely stay at Tere's the next time we visit Guanajuato!!
We are so glad we stayed at Tere's place. The location is central, quiet, and beautiful. Everything is just as everyone has described in other posts! The studio has a 5-gallon drinking water dispenser with a tiny refrigerator, clean bath towels, and soap. Thank you Tere!
Nice studio in a house with a great location, 3 minutes away from Guanajuato's main plaza (Jardin de la Union). All major sights can be explored on foot. The apartment is very clean and easily accessible, and the internet works flawlessly. Tere is a very good host who gives helpful tips.
