About This Listing
Sag Harbor House For Rent: Summer & off season.
Giant turquoise pool, near ocean & bay beaches, & near Sag Harbor & Bridgehampton towns. Quiet—feels like South of France—woods, sun-kissed, back-roads for cycling, running, & hiking. Perfect Holiday!
The word is, our place feels more like the South of France then the Hamptons. There’s a joke to go along with that, "if you were blind folded and delivered to the house without a clue, you would not guess you’re in The Hamptons”. So if you’re in need of peace, quiet, and R&R this hits the spot.
The home is outside of Sag Harbor town nestled off Noyac Road and Milestone, a few miles from both Sag and Bridgehampton Towns. It is also just a few miles from all the magnificently famous Hampton’s Ocean Beaches and about a mile and a half from Long Beach Bay. There are secluded bay beaches all along Noyac road with some of them walking distance from the house. These are fun to explore and very private. There are a few stores and markets less then a mile toward the Town of Sag Harbor—a Supermarket called Cromers with the best butcher around and everything you need, a General Store, Liquor Store, Jimmy Jim’s partly organic deli, ice cream, and some scattered little restaurant gems running along Noyac Road. These are all off of the beaten track and help to stay clear of the busy towns if you want.
The house itself sits hidden away on two acres of private property that is surrounded by trees, low beach shrubs, and it is flooded by sun light throughout the days. The stars at night are some of the more magical anywhere on the planet. So much so you won’t want to leave. The view from the house overlooks a massive natural bottom pool that is app 25 x 50. The deep end is over 12 feet so its perfect for pro-jumps off the diving board. Similarly the pool is sequestered by lush vegetation creating your own private pool and lounging area surrounded by a brick patio with lounges, umbrellas, and small tables. From the pool you see a small hill leading up to the two story split level Montauk style beach house made of cedar and surrounded by an upper deck where we hang out and eat meals, grill, read, lounge, and enjoy many a cocktail and laughs under the umbrellas and night skies.
The house features a spacious sun filled living room with vaulted two story ceilings and skylights, a wood burning fireplace—there’s a massive wood pile in the yard for those chilly summer nights—open kitchen complete with cooking utensils and amenities, and a dinning area. On the top floor just down the hall there is a third bathroom with a shower and just beyond a bit further down the hall there is guest bedroom with a queen bed. Then there’s the large master suite with queen bed, sofa couch and sitting area, skylights, and a private bathroom and shower. Additional amenities include large glass sliders off the master suite and open kitchen and living room that lead onto the deck. The house is very open and sun-kissed.
Downstairs is private from the upstairs with its own entrance and exit to the house. There’s a media room with two pull out queen size sofa beds and a large flat screen TV and full wifi for the house. Down the hallway is the second master suite with a queen size bed, sitting or reading area, and private bathroom and shower. Then there’s the laundry room.
The neighborhood is known for its private, quiet wooded back roads that are perfect for running, hiking, cycling, and long country walks. Morton wildlife preserve is nearby and great for the kids and grown ups—you can feed the birds that land on your hand!

This home was everything I had hoped for. The open kitchen and common area were perfect for our large group to cook dinners and hang out in front of the fireplace as we celebrated a 40th birthday.
Evanly was super helpful, had the place stocked with firewood, and was very communicative throughout the weekend. Especially considering I booked with such short notice. I'll be heading back in the warmer months to take advantage of the enormous pool and deck.
We spent a wonderful late-September weekend in the Hamptons and had a blast overall in this house. Evanly was very helpful and responsive during our stay. The house had everything we needed for 3 couples and small 3 children.
There were a few shortcomings that are minor given the nice weekend we had, but they prevent me from giving a higher rating. One was that the downstairs bed was missing a few crossbars and the mattress was therefore sagging and uncomfortable. Also, the grill did not get hot enough and we had to finish our steaks in a pan which spoiled the BBQ experience.
Overall a great weekend and no regrets! The house can use some fixing here and there and considering this, the price for a post-labor-day weekend feels a little steep afterwards.
Wonderful, private escape from the regular hustle and bustle of the Hamptons. Fabulous pool and close proximity to both Sag Harbor and South Hampton towns.
Evanly's place was beyond our expectations. The villa was huge and the pool was massive. The entire property was immaculate, very clean and fabulously maintained. The bedrooms and bathrooms are way bigger than the pictures posted, so when we arrived there we were ecstatic. Evanly's place and the ambience exceeded our expectations, we had an awesome time. He was very helpful, only a phone call away and very prompt in responding. He allowed us late check out and early check in which goes to show his flexibility and understanding as a host. I would most certainly recommend Evanly's place to everyone, and look forward to vacationing there again soon. Thanks for having us.
My group and I had a great time at Evanly’s house! The house was spacious, clean, and exactly what we were looking for 4th of July weekend. The pool and barbeque were great for a lazy day spent at home, and the house is within a 10 - 20 min drive to all the best Hamptons locations. Evanly was easy to get a hold of and checked in on us daily. Sag Harbor is a great place to stay if you want quiet and privacy, but easy access to some of the busier towns and beaches.
Overall great, easy experience, and we hope to stay at Evanly’s place again sometime soon.
Hi. Once our reservation day came, Evanly provided all the details needed for our stay. He was kind enough to allow us to arrive at 1:00 pm instead of 4:00 pm, which was very helpful. We communicated throughout the weekend, because I had some concerns and he responded without delays.
Overall, we had different expectations based on the posting and information provided. In response to my concerns, it was pointed out that this was not a luxury property and more so "Montauk rustic style". While I wasn't expecting luxury, I would not describe my findings and the issues as "Montauk rustic". In addition, as it was not priced as luxury, it certainly wasn't inexpensive by any stretch.
I will refrain from providing details of my experience, but would encourage future renters to fully understand the product. As this is not my first experience renting, I would've preferred to leave positive feedback.
We had a great week end at Evanly's place.
Evanly made sure we had everything we needed. we will come back!
