The #14 bus is just down the street a few blocks at se 16th & Morrison It will take you downtown in a few minutes or stay on and get over to Northwest (NobHill) for shopping and gourmet ice cream) or stay on til the end and land in Forest Park for an urban hike. You can get up to Washington Park, Japanese Garden & the Zoo by making one transfer from this #15. Cabs are cheap, you just need to call ahead (Radio Cab (phone number hidden)). Bikes are as abundant as cars here, feel free to bring yours or you can rent one at Clever Cycles on Hawthorne. Please watch for bikes while driving.
Other Things to Note
Please Note: A CASH cleaning fee of $25. to be left for the cleaning girl for all stays. Thank you so much!
Please don't smoke anywhere on the property (save that for your time outside the coffee shops or bars around the neighborhood), thank you! There is a curfew of 10:00 pm on the porches in order to be respectful of our neighbors. And please do not park next to the blue house to the North. They have 3 small children and it makes it difficult for them if people park in front of their driveway or next to their house, thanks so much.
Please feel free to contact me if you need anything while you are here and we will be happy to help with whatever you need!

Sheila is an awesome host. I felt very cozy at Urban Cabin Flat, and all I have to do is send her a message, if I need anything. She takes care of it immediately. Felt very happy staying there and would definetely recommend this to all my friends.
My husband, friend, and I had a great time at the Urban Cabin over the week of Thanksgiving! It was lovely to have this cozy little space as our "home base" as we explored Portland for the first time. As vegans, our favorite part about this location was that it was within walking distance to the Vegan Mini Mall! Everything was as described, and Sheila was quick to respond if we needed anything. Thanks... we hope to visit again someday!
This place is so great!! Very clean, cozy, and adorable. The neighborhood is awesome and centrally located. Sheila was really easy to communicate with and very accomodating!
Amazing place, super quiet and close to downtown, would recommend for anyone visiting portland!
Sheila made me feel so "at home" during my stay at the Urban Cabin! There were fresh flowers in the living room and kitchen window greeting me when I arrived, as well as a map of local hotspots that Sheila compiled for guests. Throughout my two-week stay I received additional supplies, like more firewood and additional towels; Sheila was so attentive that she was able to anticipate what might be running low and when. The location was great, too- it's easy to explore the area (lots of breweries and tasty food spots close by) and to access bus lines around town. I would definitely recommend staying at the Urban Cabin if you're coming to PDX!
Great place, quiet neighbourhood and close enough to the city for easy access. No complaints at all. Entry and key handover worked well with a small key box. Flawless. Recommended.
As our needs and wants changed, Sheila was ably willing to accommodate us. Her guests are made to feel important; never a burden. We appreciated her attention to detail. Thank you.

Hi there! I'm so glad you're thinking of staying at the 16th Avenue WalkUps, the Urban Cabin Flat, the Artist Live/Work or the Buckman Guest Flat. My name is Sheila Baraga & I am an Interior Designer and Restaurant Consultant. I have had 6 of my own bars & restaurants in Portland (Green Room, Empire Room, Ruby's Roadhouse, Sapphire Hotel, The Maiden..). I have a beautiful 15 year old daughter, a little sweet terrier Nora, two fish & a frog. We live in a lovely pink house just around the corner from the WalkUps at the corner of se 15th & Stark.
I have very much enjoyed all the people that I have met through Airbnb over the past 4+ years. Holli, the WalkUps live in caretaker, Gabrielle, the turn over specialist extraordinaire and I will make sure your check in is smooth and that your space is fresh and sparkling with excellent vibes. All of us will ensure that your stay is relaxing, safe & comfortable. And if it's not I hope you will let us know right away so we can fix it. If you’re coming to Portland and looking for the perfect "home away from home," one of my spaces will certainly be a good fit. We look forward to your booking request & meeting you when you get here. Take good care. Sheila
