The Space

Close to town, not far from the Tenorio Volcano National Park for the hike to the Rio Celeste - but - the garden in back of the house makes it seem like a jungle setting.

Guest Access

Free WiFi, access to laundry facilities, free breakfast included in price - with fresh, homemade bread! Free pickup at bus stop, can arrange tours or activities. Off-street parking available.

Interaction with Guests

I interact with guests as much or as little as needed/wanted.

The Neighborhood

I love my neighborhood! A "working class" neighborhood with a variety of houses and friendly Costa Ricans. Very safe -- no problem walking around anytime, even after dark. It's a great "cultural immersion" and a chance to practice your Spanish.

Getting Around

There is convenient public transit with 10 buses a day that go through town to/from other parts of Costa Rica. Local taxis are also available.

Other Things to Note

Not far from the 18,000 hectare rainforest of the Tenorio National Park and the hike to the beautiful Rio Celeste.

House Rules

No smoking, no drugs, no "parties" - I would not want to offend my quiet neighbors! It's a simple and quiet life and beautiful for those who are looking for that.
