About this listing
19th floor 2 bed apartment in St Paul's Tower, Sheffield's tallest building. Located right in the Heart of City, this is a terrific location. The room (my spare bedroom) is a cosy (small but perfectly formed) double (maximum 2 people sharing) benefiting from its own private bathroom. Come stay! :)
My place is pretty unique primarily because of its location, but also for all-round value for money. Situated right in the city centre, all the best shops and restaurants are within walking distance. There are also good bus/train links to Meadowhall (the out of town shopping centre) as well as the other suburbs and other UK towns and cities, as well as the airports. Regarding the apartment itself, I like to pride myself on my appearance, and this definitely extends to my home. Expect a meticulously clean room and everything laid out for you (towels and other extras available on request - just message) so you can have the easiest, most hassle-free stay possible.
Guests will have access to everything I enjoy in my home - be that chilling out in front of the TV, playing my piano or just hanging in their own room. There is wireless internet access as well as a landline phone which guests can use if needs be (within reason!) In short, make yourself at home. Please note, I will always be staying at the apartment for the duration of your stay and especially in the evening as it is my home and where I sleep, too. Therefore, keeping noise to a minimum during this time would be appreciated. Thanks.
Interaction with Guests
I would like to think that I would always be very welcoming of my new guests. I am a medical student so very people-focused and always up for a good chat. Similarly, I completely respect that other people prefer privacy. I will always be at the property when guests are staying and I'll endeavour to make sure you have the best possible stay.
Sheffield city centre has a wealth of great places to shop, eat and relax. I will be more than happy to share with my guests any suggestions for any of the above or more. I love my city and hope you will, too.
There are many buses running from the Interchange (our bus station) which is within easy walking distance (approx. 3 mins). Parking is available from several places nearby. There is an award-winning Q Park directly opposite my building with 24 access and security. Overnight access and advance booking are available. If you require me to collect you from either Manchester or East Midlands airport, then this can be arranged (time permitting) if you are prepared to cover the cost of my fuel.
Other Things to Note
I have two pet chinchillas. They are caged but may make some minimal noise at night as this is when they are most active. This is perhaps something to bear in mind if you are a particularly light sleeper.
I expect my guests to be respectful of my home (taking into consideration that I still have to live here when you leave!). I would prefer non-smokers to smokers, but am not too worried about smokers staying provided you smoke outside of the building (certainly never in the apartment itself). I am afraid I operate a strict no pets policy.
Benedict must be one of the nicest hosts on airbnb! It was boiling hot when I arrived and he was ready with cool water and fresh towels for showers. The room was very tidy and clean. The vibe in the flat is very relaxed and the look of the flat is very smart and stylish.
You have your own bathroom which is also very smart and nice. The room is quite small but very well made and comfortable. You even have a desk/wifi if you need it. Again, they were both such lovely hosts (even running down 17 floors to the basement to try and find me an umbrella!) you feel very comfortable sharing their lovely flat with them.
I had such a lovely time staying with Ben and Jack. For a start Ben met me at the train station so that i did not have to walk up hill with my heavy suitcase. So kind. They both made me feel at home , and the accommodation is excellent , own room and bathroom, and wonderful views from living room and bedroom. The flat is right in the heart of Sheffield, so hugely convenient for all my meetings and appointments. I highly recommend.
Ben and Jack were wonderful hosts, so welcoming and warm. The flat is beautiful, with great views, and super-close to everything. The room was also great, and a big lovely bathroom! I'd definitely stay again. Thanks guys!
Benedict was a really lovely host, made us feel welcome and gave us a key to come and go as we pleased. Nice modern apartment, the room and bathroom were really clean, comfortable bed, great location for Sheffield centre. Right next to the Q parks carpark on Charles Street.
Benedict and his friend Jack were great hosts! The house was very clean and nice and the view from the house was beautiful! Since Benedict was away most of the time during our stay, we only got to see him once, but his friend Jack, who was very friendly and helpful, took care of us. Also the chinchilas were very cute!
Ben's flat is exactly as good as described, quiet and clean, and the decoration is nice. the most important point for a visitor is that the location of his flat is quite closed to the train station as well as bus station. Ben and his flatmate are kind enough, not making you feel uncomfortable to stay at all.
The stay at Benjamin's flat was welcoming and friendly. The double-bed room was warm and cosy, and the bathroom modern and clean. Benjamin was ready to assist if anything came up and was flexible with the check-in and check-out times. The location is excellent, right next to the Sheffield city centre!
About the Host, Benedict
Hi. My name's Ben and I'm a medical student at the University of Sheffield. In my free time I enjoy playing the piano, reading, going to the cinema, shopping and generally just hanging out with my friends. I'm also a bit of a baking enthusiast (cake being man's greatest ever invention) and enjoy a glass or two of red wine from time to time, too. Thanks for your interest in my life :)
