A perfect weekend getaway for families, friends, or small team retreats. Designed and lived in by a family of artists from Bucharest, the house is easily accessible by car in about 2.5 hours. Summer scenery and winter snow are equally beautiful, with plenty of nearby places to explore.

The house is suitable for large groups and quiet gatherings, but loud events or parties are not allowed.

This is not a luxury hotel, but a genuine Romanian countryside home. Please treat it with care & respect.

The space
The house was built in 1996 by a well known Romanian artist and designer and has been used ever since as a family holiday home as well as an occasional retreat for small team gatherings.

The property is spread over two levels.
The lower floor includes two separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a comfortable living room.

The upper floor is a large open space featuring five open sleeping areas separated from the common space by curtains and sliding doors, offering a relaxed, loft style atmosphere. This level also includes two additional bathrooms, a large pool table, two couches, and access to two balconies.

Located in the countryside, the house offers an authentic rural experience. Expect natural grass, insects, animal and bird sounds, fresh air, and all the realities of life outside the city.

This is not a luxury hotel, but a genuine Romanian countryside home. It is a real house meant for real people, so we kindly ask guests to treat it with care and respect.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire space, both in the house and outside.

There is just a tiny house in the back of the garden and a workshop next to the main house that are not accessible to guests.

Other things to note
You can visit touristic places or just take a hike through the hills. There are no marked trails but getting around is pretty easy and the trips are suited for beginners and intermediate hikers. Mountain biking and swimming in the "Doamnei" river are also good options.

Every Sunday there is a "Sunday Market" in the center of the Village that we recommend visiting.

Our house is situated on the outskirts of the small Domenști village but acces is very easy and neighbours very friendly and helpful. Every Sunday there is a Sunday market in the village center.
If you visit this area there are many places you can visit just a half hour's drive away: The "Curtea de Argeș" Monastery and city, the "Transfăgărășan" road, the "Corbii de piatră" Monastery - a UNESCO monument, the Câmpulung Roman Camp and many others.
