Noah is an amazing host. We were invited to his family estate in the country side and also joined him during a few nights out in town. Highly recommended!
This flat is great for both friends or a family as there is a large double bedroom and another decent sized room with 2 single beds. The flat is in great condition with all the appliances you need, including wifi and cable TV. The flat also offer 2 balconies, one with a great view of Kampala - a perfect spot to see the sunrise over the city.
The flat is located in Mengo which is a short ride away from Kampala city centre. The area is not the typical expat area which gives you a good flavour of the more local scene. There are some good bars just next to the flat where you can enjoy some local food, a game of pool, and some local dancing. There are 2 supermarkets close by and local fruit/vegetable markets. For those interested in some sites to visit, the flat is located close to both the palace and the mosque.
Noah, who manages the flat, is brilliant! He looks after you from the moment you book the flat until you leave the country. He is very responsive and make sure that everything works well when you stay in the flat.
I would highly recommend the flat to anyone visiting Kampala, both short and long term!
Noah is a terrific host and the apartment is beautiful. While not located in a traditionally expat-friendly area like Kololo, Naguru, or Ntinda, the neighborhood has every amenity one could ask for. There is a fun bar across the street, two supermarkets within a short walk, streetlights and sidewalks on the main road, and walking distance access to cool tourist sights like the Gaddafi Mosque, Buganda Parliament Building, and Lubiri Palace. The two bedrooms are spacious, perfect for a couple with two kids or a group of 4 friends traveling together. While you'll need to take a taxi or boda-boda to get into town, its relatively cheap (only 4000 UGX or $1.50). The place is great for a longer-term stay in Kampala, as its somewhat removed from the more traditional touristy areas. Noah is a very responsive host who will make sure your high-speed internet is working well.
The host was very friendly, no problems at all. The apartment was excellent and in a great location at a good price. Far better than getting a hotel. It was a very positive experience, I would recommend this place to anyone going to Uganda.
Fantastic apartment. Clean, secure, good location, great value for money and a friendly host. I recommend this this place to all.

I have been living in the UK for most of my life but I'm going to be in Uganda for some time to explore farming (and other) opportunities here. I speak English fluently, I can converse comfortably in French and I also speak Luganda, the most widely spoken local language in Uganda.
I enjoy exploring and have visited different parts of the country so I can advise on travel ideas.
