A cozy, private retreat conveniently located in the Laurel Highlands. Fallenwood, is a nature inspired, custom built cabin nestled along a pretty little mountain stream on six wooded acres. Although secluded it is far from remote, providing easy access to all the area has to offer. The local area attractions abound... Seven Springs & Hidden Valley ski resorts, three Frank Lloyd Wright houses, most notably Fallingwater, and multiple State Parks, like Ohiopyle! The area is home to three different rail to trail bike paths. There are also two local wineries with beautiful tasting rooms and several well recommended restaurants close by. The possibilities are endless, especially for outdoor activities like hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, white water rafting, biking or just relaxing by the fireplace. The floor plan is open and bright, allowing you to be in nature, with views of the woods and stream even when keeping cozy and warm inside.
Please no pets. And please keep smoking to outside.
I will leave some firewood on the front porch for your stay, but it's valuable since I get it on my own and split it by myself. If you need more, please let me know and we can discuss.
Janice was a GREAT host. She was quick to respond to any questions I had and sent detailed directions. The cabin is so lovely and so well-appointed, has everything you need. It felt more like I was staying at a friend's place for the weekend, not a business transaction.
Very cozy cabin with easy access to Seven Springs and picturesque Ligonier.
A great little getaway to forget about life for awhile. The cabin is supper clean and very quaint.
What a lovely place to truly get away. We spent 3 days relaxing, waking in the woods, watching the birds and enjoying a fire. We selected this as a base for our visit to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle. A little bit of a drive to and from but well worth it.
Janice had the place it tip-top shape and it was exactly as she described. Highly reent for anyone looking to escape to a cozy cabin in the woods.
Charming, very well-appointed cottage, set beautifully within the woods. Check out the ridgepole: it's massive, the back of this house won't break! Janice was a great host. Good value. For the FLW folks, it really is about half an hour from the Great House. We allowed an hour, and arrived 30 minutes to early (you do the math, ha).
Cozy Cabin was all we had hoped for and more!. The tranquil setting was only the beginning. From the inviting front entry to the solid sliding glass doors overlooking the fire circle area, Janice provided a clean and comfortable getaway environment. Whether sitting on the sofa in front of a fire in the stone fireplace for a late evening snack or preparing an early morning breakfast in the well appointed kitchen, everything about the cabin layout is perfect. Two couples found accommodations more than ample and the loft, our favorite, provides the best view in the house! While it is tempting to keep this jewel a secret, we have already highly recommended Cozy Cabin to a number of friends and family. As a bonus, the area offers several more great houses, these designed by a guy named Frank Lloyd Wright.
Need dinner suggestions? Entertainment venues? Local attractions? Janice is quick to help out and spot on.
We thoroughly enjoyed Janice's cozy little cabin tucked into the woods. The cabin was well appointed, soothing and calm and Janice created a welcoming environment. We were close to everything we wanted to experience and are very happy that we picked Janice and her cabin for our get-away.

There is just so much to do in our local area and beyond. I have had a lot of fun exploring it all and would love to share it with you. Just let me know how I can help!
