About this listing
Here is an alternative to an unpersonnal and borring accomodation: : My home becomes your home the time of your stay and I am most of the time around and available to help you get the best out of the city and have a relaxing time at home. Welcome!
Forget about the hotel room and go for a cozy and homey alternative: my place!
I am a young fun and energetic french bird in her 3Os who lived in the UK and Canada for 7 years offering the chance to have a real Brussels' downtown experience with a nice and comfortable bedroom in my homey and centrally located apartment right in the heart of city.
The apartment has a lot of character: bricks on the walls and high ceiling with beams. I just love it! Ideal for a single traveler, or a couple staying in Brussels for a business trip or on a vacation. Please note there is a 2 nights minimum stay policy and 5 euros difference from single to double occupancy.
The room, has a queen bed with a fantastic mattress (I had nothing but compliments from guests that stayed over); bedsit table, alarm clock/ Ipod dock and big wardrobe/ storage for your luggage and belongings.
the bathroom ( none private so to be shared with me) is right across your bedroom and has a sink, a bath tub, a window, toilet, radiator, hair dryer/ hair straightener. Very good HOT water pressure (brand new boiler). Bed linen and towels are of course provided for your comfort and allow yourself light packing.
The living area is very spacious and open concept with kitchen, dining table and lounge area with way too comfortable sofas ( carreful, once you sit or lay down, it is hard to get moving) and a big flat screen TV . The living area has large windows overlooking a charming cobble stone street with cute shops and tea rooms. The kitchen is very well equiped with all the basic appliances you need ( stove; gas cook top; nespresso machine, kettle, blender, juicer, toaster, microwave, fridge/ freezer, etc...) to make yourself a nice dinner like at home. Only the dishes will require some elbow grease as there is no dishwasher :-)
You have EVERYTHING on your door step! supermarkets, concerts venue ( famous Ancienne Belgique) bakery, pharmacy, bars, restaurant and subway/ Tram / Busses just 30 seconds away from the apartment ( Annesens or Bourse), Grand Place is 3 min walk and the Manekein Piss is literally up the street.
I look forward to hosting and meeting you soon.
Thank you for visiting my page!
Guests have access to everything that the apartment has to offer, apart from my bedroom of course! Bring your suitcase and feel like at home.
Interaction with Guests
I live in this appartment and offer a spare bedroom. I work sometimes from home and would be around if I am not out. I am happy to socialize with guests but also respect their need of intimacy.
The neighborhood is fantastic! Despite the very central location that could cool down a few visitors; the street itself has a very village vibe. Quartier Saint Jacques is also known as gay quarter so it is very lively and fun over the weekend.
For those who are driving, you can park near by around rue du midi where there are parking facilities. Access to public transportation is very easy but as the apartment is so central, there are many places you go to by foot.
Other Things to Note
For any booking, please send me a message to introduce yourself and let me know your arrival and departure times for check in/ check out. I am happy to host new Airbnb members that don't have reviews yet but in that case, I would ask you to fill up completely your profile page and give me much more details about you and the other traveler.
No young age children or pets, sorry. Smoking at the window in the lounge would be permitted but not in any other rooms. No meals taken in the bedroom to avoid unpleasant food smells. I keep the place clean and tidy and i don't mind at all guests stuff around the place as long as they are considerate and clean up after themselves (dishes). For single occupancy: no overnight last minute visitors unless agreed with me. If so, I would ask you to kindly pay 5 euros as cover charge. Thank you very much!
