The Space

Hello Traveler,
I'm an Artist living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I share my Cassic Artist's Loft with travelers from Airbnb. I am respectful, kind and accommodating. I am seeking the same out of you! This is a fairly large studio, it's spacious feeling even when everyone is home. I have been very lucky and met amazing people through this service. Much of my furniture was custom made by the artist Jean-Marie Mauclet of JEMA Design and all my lighting is eco-friendly LED's.

You are welcome to stay in my master bedroom. You would have the biggest room in the Classic Artist's Loft with the best views out the windows. I will provide clean sheets for the queen bed and warm blankets if needed. I also have plenty of storage space if you should need it. The room is private, comfortable and clean. You will need to be agile enough to get up on the bed.

My Artist's Loft is located on the top floor on a quiet street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This is a very safe and friendly part of Brooklyn to visit. I have a manually operated freight elevator that is off limits but can be used to transport heavy items if you require. I have fantastic roof access with beautiful views of the New York Skyline. Bring your lap top computer and connect to my WiFi. If you sit in the right space you can enjoy the WiFi in the open air on the roof.

The Franklin Av shops, restaurants and bars are just around the corner. The closest Subway station is the Greenpoint Ave G two blocks away, also in walking distance is the Bedford Ave L and the Vernon Blvd 7. By subway, I am located 25 minutes from Union Square, 26 minutes from Times Square, 30 minutes from Central Park, 38 minutes from Tribeca and 25 minutes from the East Village. The B61 and B43 bus stop is only a block away and very helpful when weather is uncomfortable. JFK is one hour away by public transport and LGA is 25 minutes away by Cab.
I look forward to meeting you. -Lawrence

  • Enjoyed myself a lot! I did not have the pleasure to meet Lawrence, but his communication works perfect. And the loft is all you wish for! It's not the luxurious, boring, bare apartment, but really lively, arty and unique! I would definitely recommend yong people who travel alone or together to stay here. Great place to meet some other travelers, near the subway and a safe and interesting neighborhood. Try it yourself!

  • Loved this stay! Lawrence is such a kind and organized host. Always not far away from an email response, or phone call. I stayed at the loft in the most comfortable bed with the best views of Manhattan. Best room of the place, no doubt. :) Met fellow travellers, nice clean quite and super New Yorkish place. Go!

  • We stayed 3 nights in Brooklyn with my boyfriend and really fell in love with Greenpoint. The loft was super unique and Lawrence was very helpful even when we had some issues with our baggage that had gone lost during our flight to NY. Thanks again everything! :)

  • Only a short stopover for me at this amazing place. Great room with an awesome view in the morning. I didn't get t meet Lawrence but the instructions he left me were clear and easy. Everything was clean and tidy. Easy enough to get to, even when coming from Newark airport (the furthest airport away). Would definitely recommend.

  • To say that the studio was an amazing experience would be an understatement. Lawrence was very easy to get in contact with whenever required, and he made sure everything I needed was in order. Great space and great host.

  • Lawrence was great at getting back to us whenever we had questions, and made sure we got into the place safely when our train was delayed at night. We didn't get a chance to meet him, but based on the artsy decor we'd like to come back sometime. The neighborhood was great, with lots of a place to eat nearby (there's a great little place called Cafecito Bogota a block away with a phenomenal brunch deal - definitely check it out!). Transit into Manhattan was easy and very nearby.
