Dan and Pal were great hosts! Very accommodating and flexible. I needed to stay extra time and they allowed it with no problem. The doormen in the building are very friendly as well as the neighbors. It is a great view right on the Hudson and with many neighborhood perks! I enjoyed my stay.
The space was really good, you can't find anything as affordable as that in NY! The location was perfect! It was quiet and there's a nice view outside and close to everywhere esp Subway. I would love to stay here again! Dan was really helpful! Also, if you're staying here you should go check out Fort Washington Park, there's a pedestrian going there in front of the entrance of the bldg. The doorman as well are really really nice!
Very cheap place, near everything you need: stop subway (a train) in a very quiet neighborhood. I reccomend it ;)
The place is very economical. There is enough room for 1 suitcase. It is perfect if you are just sleeping. Other amenities is fine. I highly recommend if you are travelling on the cheap, and the neighbourhood is safe most importantly (^_^).
If you are claustrophobic then it is not recommended as it is rather small, there are bigger rooms. Just communicate with either hosts (^_^).
Don't know what else to say but I was happy with the place thought I didn't stay for that long due to friends dragging me over to Jersey :)
If you are looking for a cheap small and basic room, its exactly what you need. Close to everything and in a safe quiet area.
glad that i m in york....
Dan was actually the most welcoming person I met in NYC! His place is so tiny, but still clean and enough for sleeping and visiting the city. 3 min of walking to A station and 6 min to 1 station. It's near George Washington Bridge, a beautiful place with view of the river.
The reservation was canceled 42 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Overall good stay in the big apple, the «rooms» are tiny but beds comfy. It can get worm though.
The star missing is for the shitiest wifi i've ever seen. Dan is a great guy who cares about his guest and there wellbeing.
So if, like me, you just need a roof over your head, a shower and a bed, then this is the place!
Dan's option is good for anyone needing inexpensive accomodation. There is no room (not even inches) to move outside of your bed at all but just a safe place to sleep, and shower. And i was surprised by the neighborhood - some cute restaurants on 181 - thai and japanese restaurants and a lovely irish pub - the chiel i think it was called.
