This is in the South Congress area of Austin. You get your own house, with your own kitchen, bath, and everything. It's a fully furnished guest house and ready for you... a king bed in the master bedroom, queen in the second bedroom, and a sofa that folds out into a queen bed in the living room.
We're 3 blocks from Homeslice Pizza and the infamous Continental Club, and all the great food and eclectic shopping you could ask for. Cupcakes from an airstream? Check. Best coffee in town? Check. Mexican Margaritas and BBQ? Check and check.
Our 1930's House is fully furnished in an eco-friendly way, and comes complete with super comfy, all-natural and allergen free beds, as well as full kitchens.
Stay in our house instead of a hotel, and I promise you'll stay here everytime you come back to Austin!
The rate listed is the flat rate with all taxes included (unless a pet fee or extra guest fee needs to be attached/ rate is based on 4 guests).

Interaction with Guests
We can interact as little or as much as you would like.... we are pretty hands off, but love to provide amazing customer service.
We do require a separate agreement form on our end to be filled out upon booking. It basically goes over the same rules listed here, and we keep it on file for security purposes.
South Congress has sooo many places to eat, drink, and (website hidden)'s coffee has great beverages and amazing people watching. Big Stacy park is just down the street with a great running path and pool... not to mention Lady Bird Lake not being far, as well.

Risk/Liability. By renting this property, you are assuming all risks and liabilities for any damage
done to person or property, agents, employees, or visitors occasioned by the present or future condition of the premises, both latent and manifest. We will not be responsible for accidents or injuries to guests or loss of money or valuables of any kind.
Your payment is due upon booking, unless arranged in advance with the manager. Non-payment of rent is considered a cancellation and subject to cancellation policy. If using a credit card or paypal, an additional fee of 3% will be included.
The houses are in very good condition, however we do not explicitly guarantee heat/ac units, televisions, electronics, or appliances. We will absolutely do our best to make repairs as soon as possible after being notified of the problem. No refund or rate adjustment will be made for breakdowns.
Please call to report any problems immediately. (phone number hidden). Locked Out
If you become locked out of the unit, call (phone number hidden). No refund or rate adjustment will be made for locking yourself out. Even if you’ve had a few margaritas… ;-)
5. Linen Care
Linens are furnished and are not permitted to be removed from the house. Replacement of lost or damaged or stained linens will be the responsibility of renter and deducted from your security deposit or credit card on file. No linens will be exchanged during your stay.
6. Additional & Maximum Guests
The total number occupying cannot exceed four (4) people in a 1 bedroom house, six (6) people in a 2 bedroom house, or eight (8) people in a 3 bedroom house. Stated pricing is based around standard occupancy of two (2) people in a 1 bedroom house, four (4) people in a 2 bedroom house, and six (6) people in a 3 bedroom house. Additional people (excluding babies & small children 7 years old or younger) are $25/person per day.
All guests must be listed on the rental agreement. There are no exceptions.
Our houses are non-smoking. Evidence of smoking in the houses will cause forfeiture of the entire payment, immediate eviction, and cleaning/abatement charges. If smoking outside, please place butts in provided sand buckets. Thanks!
We are friendly to certain pets, but no pets are allowed in the houses or on the premises unless arranged in advance with the appropriate deposit and payments in place. Registered pets must be potty-trained. An unregistered pet, or evidence of an unregistered pet, will cause forfeiture of the entire payment including deposit and immediate eviction. Pet charge is $10/day unless notified otherwise.
This is a family-oriented property. No house parties are allowed. Violation of this rule will cause forfeiture of the entire rent, including an additional fee equal to 1 days rent, and immediate tenant eviction.
10. Age Minimums
Generally, we do not rent to groups of young people under the age of 25. No sororities, fraternities, school, or civic groups are allowed.
11. Property Care
We reserve the right to keep deposits and/or rental payment, refuse a rental, apply charges, and discontinue occupancy if the terms of agreement are not met or if (in our judgment) your occupancy of the unit is detrimental to the property. The property may not be used for any unlawful purpose.
We reserve the right to enter the premises at any time for the purpose of inspection, repair, or management.
If you cancel or change occupancy dates on a house, prior notice must be given as follows: Daily bookings/30 day notice; Weekly Bookings/ 45 days notice; Monthly bookings 90 days notice. Failure to give proper notice will result in forfeiture of rent, unless the unit is re-booked for the same rental period. Note: With a Superbooking, or during ACL and SXSW no refunds will be given unless the house is rebooked. Fees will apply to changes and cancellations.
It’s usually pretty casual, but just so you know: A maximum of one (1) car is allowed to park in the driveway, other cars must be parked in the street unless otherwise arranged with manager. Boats, trailers, jet skis, and motor homes must be parked elsewhere unless otherwise arranged.
We must have your credit card on file as your deposit. The credit card on file will not be used provided there is no damage, the unit is left clean (dishes, cookware, etc. must be washed and placed in cabinets), trash is removed and placed in the proper outside container and all other terms of the rental agreement are met.
16. Check In/Out
Check in time is 3:00 pm or later; Check out time is 11:00 am or earlier. Please respect the check-in & check-out times. Thank you!
The location is absolutely the best. The home is very well cared for and the setting is peaceful and full of character. The host are very friendly and attentive. I plan on having this be my new Austin spot to stay.
Bj's place is cute, quaint, and in an absolutely fabulous location! It's within walking distance of everything you'd want to see or do on Congress. We walked to South Congress Cafe for breakfast one morning and Perla's for lunch with our (website hidden) was able to accommodated us on short notice, too! He responded quickly and took care of all our needs. I would definitely recommend his place for a larger group. There are several other homes to stay in on the lot, Verde Camp, which seems like a perfect set up for a family or college reunion. Also, his home is within walking distance of downtown. I ran to the trails on Lake Bird Lake which is just shy of downtown, it was about a mile run, so certainly within walking distance. Great way to see the city as well!
The home that I stayed in at Bj's Verde Camp was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The grounds are well taken care of - green grass, plants and big trees around the property. Drake avenue is a quiet street with friendly, helpful neighbors, a nice short walk away from south congress, and overall perfect location for enjoying East Austin, downtown, Barton Springs...Bj is a friendly, relaxed host who is quick to help you book and available to help or simply say hello during your stay.
The house was the perfect size for 2 couples to share and absolutely adorable! Well decorate and clean, and the king size bed was super comfortable. Walking distance to tons of bars/restaurants in South congress and overall great neighborhood. Loved it and want to go back with a group of several people and rent all 4 homes at once (there are 4 homes on the compound so would be cool to do with a group)
Wonderful, cozy property that is well managed by kind folks. Everything you need is within walking distance, and the bikes are a great idea (though it was too cold the days we were visiting). Thanks Leslie, BJ, and Star for making our visit memorable.
I did a boys weekend with two old college buddies. We really enjoyed the place - and it was very close to all the activities on South Congress. I would definitely recommend the place.
