We have an off the grid solar powered property with a total of 18 acres in the town of Washington Maine. The available cottage borders a beautiful stream and is in the woods , several hundred feet away from our home, so very private.
Guests can wander or snowshoe on our property or relax in the screen house next to the cottage. There is swimming or kayaking in nearby Crystal Lake or Washington Pond.
Camden(Camden Snow Bowl), Rockland, Rockport are 30 minutes away.

The space
This cozy, private post and beam cottage overlooks Davis stream. In the common area there is a queen bed and another full bed in the loft, accessed by a loft ladder. It will sleep 4 comfortably.
There is a one burner stove with dishes,pots, utensils and silverware provided, and a table to eat your meals while viewing the stream. There is also a grill available.
The main source of heat is a wood stove with back up propane heat. The cottage is super insulated and easy to heat with wood .
Water and wood are provided. In warm weather there is a fresh air shower with hot water and a sink to wash dishes. In freezing temps we will provide water for using the dry sink in the cottage. The toilet and open air shower are located in the out house right beside the cottage.

Our home and cottage are in the town of Washington, Maine. On your way to our home you will see farms and blueberry fields and beautiful vista of hills and lakes. Just around the corner is the Washington General store where you can find a wide variety of pastries and baked goods, beer and wine and all your essentials.
