About this listing
Free room in awesome duplex in New York City's trendiest neighborhood - Williamsburg Brooklyn!
NOTE: I am undercharging for the area as I just wish to cover the rent while I'm on vacation.
A former 20th century pillow factory converted into awesome duplex apartments: full kitchen, living room area & seperate mezzanine hangout space, projector, netflix, HBO GO, wifi, etc included. Comes with two roommates - both french - both designers, both extremely friendly and easy going. We share a small courtyard with our neighbors which is a nice hang out spot especially if you're a smoker as we don't generally allow smoking inside.
Help yourself to tea & coffee. We'll provide towels & some fruit/snacks for you on arrival. (especially if you're travelling from afar!)
There is a Laundry in our building which you will have access to. Our apartment has two entrances, one through the building and another through the amazing shared courtyard space.
Interaction with guests
We will be gone for the duration of your stay, but you will get to interact with our lovely french easy breezy (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).
If you're new to the neighorhood I can't stress the array of great restaurants and bars in the area- it's almost endless!
Our place is located half a block from the waterfront and across the street from a public park (& bmx track if you're into that!) There is an amazing outdoor weekend food market 5 mins walk where you can also catch the ferry to Manhattan or just take a stroll on the waterfront.
Geting around is easy:
8 min walk to Bedford L Station.
6 min walk to Marcy Av JMZ Station.
5 min walk to the East River Ferry.
All of the above take you basically everywhere you need to go in the city.
Other things to note
If you're new to the area we'd really like to ensure you enjoy your time here so I would be more than happy to recommend some restaurants, bars, art galleries, parks or peanut butter stores that cater to your taste.
If there's anything you would like prearranged for you don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best :)
Feel free to hang out with our flat mates and have a glass of wine. We're not really big on rules except for no smoking inside.

As I grew up my home had an "open door policy" , we had many international family and friends staying with us of all ages. As a result, I feel like I know what is is to be a good guest, besides the obvious, It's just about being kind and considerate.
When I travel to a city I love to wander the streets and absorb the atmosphere.
Thank you for considering me as your guest,
