great host, thank you!
Grazie dell'ottima ospitalità.
I spent 3 nights in this studio with my mother. We booked it because of the good references given by the other guests. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience there. First of all, it is not in a good location. It's far from the center and there is only one bus that goes there. The area is not surrounded by metro stations. We also had problems inside the studio. The shower would heat just for 5 minutes (or less). Sometimes we got home so late after a tiring tourist day, willing for a relaxing bath, and it was not relaxing at all, but stressful. Moreover, we had to wait for like 30 minutes so the other person could get a bath.
The only day we tried to cook something, the stove did not work, because there was no energy enough for cooking, keeping the lights and the air conditioner on!!!
The only thing we can't complain about is the cleanliness. We met the person who cleaned the stuido and she was very nice to us, and tried to solve our problems.
We just made contact with Claudia by email. We have no complaints about it, she answered us whenever we needed.
So, despite of the good price, it is definitely not worth booking this studio!
Claudia and her friend were nice. Good host and nice place.
Claudia was responsive, flexible and very mindful of my husband's needs during his two-week stay at the Rufus Studio in Rome. The apartment is simple and well-situated in the Portunese neighborhood, which has a local charm and feel, and is an easy bus and tram ride to the center of Rome. The great pasticceria right around the corner serves up a perfect capuccio and crostatta to boot. Thank you, Claudia!
Claudia always kept me updated and also explained in detail how to get to the apartment. And she was always very friendly. The place is nice, location is just perfect. You have a bus near by and metro is not that far away either. Near the house is a great pizza place. I would recommend the place to stay.
The room is about as simple as it comes, but it's certainly comfortable. The neighborhood is easy to get around and there are supermarkets in easy walking distance.
My only caution would be for those who are highly sensitive to cigarette smoke. The studio is one of four that all share a lobby room. One of the other guests was a smoker and it definitely drifted into our room more than once.
