  • The ultimate Airbnb experience! A perfect, stylish apartment in a great location. Being a Host means a lot for Mentis and he did his best to help me during my stay. I was in Athens for a business trip and it was such a unique experience. His deep knowledge as a pure Athenian gave me great tips.

I can't wait to book again!

  • This is a clean, modern, and very comfortable apartment in a highly accessible part of town, a few minutes away from the city centre. You could travel far and wide and never find nicer people to deal with than these English-speaking mother and son, who will bend over backwards to make you feel comfortable and welcome. It was a privilege to get to know both Mimi and Mentis.

  • Our stay at Mentis' flat was at the beginning of a 16-day visit to ports along the Agean, Black and Adriatic Seas. Now I'm home and have time to write this review.

Our trip got off to such a great start at this Athens apartment. We were four people, so the size was great, beds comfy, everything worked and looked as promised on the AirBnB site. Thank you, Mentis, for helping us figure out how to navigate Athens when all public transit was on strike, and thanks, too, for the very sufficient provisions for breakfast.
We liked being within walking distance of so many sites and eating places. Things that were too far for walking we could get to on the HopOn HopOff bus.

Our kids expressed some concern about our being in Athens with riots happening in the streets, but we felt totally safe. The Athenians we met were friendly and happy to have us in their fine city. I'd love to return, and when I do, I'll book Mentis' apartment.

  • Mentis gave us excellent directions to his place which is so near the main attractions, 5 mins from the tram and metro. He was there personally to greet us and helped with our luggage :)....his apartment is huge and lovely. We had the whole to ourselves and boy did we indulge ourselves in cooking and just relaxing away on his very comfortable sofa.
We fell in love athens and how blessed the people there are for living in a place where history is everywhere around you and leaves you in awe. Let us not forget the kindness and sweet smiles of its people....oh, their greek yogurt so delicious that we indulged in it everyday....
So thank you mentis for making our stay there a beautiful experience....[ps: sorry i had to leave the luggage as it was slowing us down].

  • This is a place we can recommened for anyone visiting Athens! As we travel with small children and stayed only a couple of days, we liked the spacious flat and the convinence of the site. The area is calm with local eatouts and in easy reach to shops and to the Acropolis! Mentis welcomed us with great hospitality and gave us smart ideas on how to enjoy the city!

  • The Man, the Myth, the Mentis!
Mentis was not only our host but our anchor in Athens. He made sure we had food, directions, and knowledge of both history and hot spots. Any question we had he answered promptly. It was kind of like having a cousin in town if we needed him.
Mentis' place is perfect. Central- Literally a block from the metro and from some great (non touristy) places to eat and hang out. Easy walking distance to all the sites, etc. Spacious. Impeccably clean. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed and peaceful balcony.
We recommend asking him for a private tour of the sites too if he is available.
I fully recommend Mentis' place to anyone visiting Athens. As do the Gods. ;)

  • Great apartment! Very well decorated, and only a 10-12 minute walk to the Acropolis Museum, restaurants and shops, and 5 minutes further walk to the Acropolis. Right off a main road, with a Metro and tram stop very nearby. Staying here really felt like staying at a family member's apartment while on vacation. It feels like a real apartment, not a generic place for tourists.

  • Great place! Mentis was very friendly, his mom showed us the place. The apartment itself is very nice, clean and it has lots of nice little nick nacks. I would definitily recommend this place to everyone who goes to Athens.

  • Our stay at Mentis' apartment was wonderful. He was very responsive both before our visit and during our stay. He met us at the train station and gave us a lot of information about his flat and about Athens. The apartment could not be in a better location for tourists! it's a short walk to the acropolis and only a few blocks from a major train line. The apartment itself was lovely - well appointed, easy to use, and generally very nice. Perhaps it's finest feature is the balcony - which we heavily used in the lovely Athens weather. It is on the 4th floor but it does have a small but handy elevator. I would highly recommend this flat and Mentis!

  • Mentis has been an absolutely terrific host. Very friendly and very attentive. It was 4 of us, two couples, and it was first visit to Athens. Apartment is very spacious and quiet (it also has a wonderful terrace). The location is convenient as it is within walking distance from the city centre and all the major sightseeing spots. Certainly recommended to anyone!
